I once read a story about an American Army mess hall in Afghanistan. A soldier came in for chow. Everyone there was gathered in one corner. The soldier thought that was odd, so he went over to investigate.

There was Robin Williams, telling jokes to the crowd. His agent did not announce Robin’s visit to the country. There was no publicity. Robin was just there, to help any way he could.
