A million-dollar mansion perched along Los Angeles’ legendary Mulholland Drive has become anything but a dream home — with squatters and trespassers turning the unfinished property into a late-night party pad.
The abandoned house at 7711 Mulholland boasts sweeping views of the city, but neighbors say its biggest attraction after dark is the empty property itself.
“It’s just right under the Universal Overlook, and people come at night, use it to party,” said Ted, a local resident who lives near the property, told FOX11. “There’s graffiti all over it, beer cans, and everything.”
Neighbors say the calls for help have been piling up while the mansion has deteriorated into an eyesore and nuisance.
“The house on the top of the hill has been an issue for a while,” community member Paul Stern told NBC Los Angeles.
The home was last sold in 2022, according to Zillow, which describes the property as a three-bedroom, three-bathroom mansion spanning more than 4,000 square feet.
Its estimated market value is now upwards of $1.47 million.
Photos show a luxurious glass room and deck overlooking Los Angeles — a jaw-dropping perch that would be the envy of any Hollywood Hills homeowner.
But now, the property is covered with graffiti and several of the home’s windows are gone. Property records show Walking Media Inc. as the current owner of the property, NBC reported.

Ok, I went for a look at it. It is indeed perched. I wouldn’t give you a dollar for a perch in quaking California.
Mobile — I meant can wash away with rain
Just keep voting for Democrats, LA.
It sounds as though it was abandoned during construction. If so, I imagine there are already foundation issues.
There are no good pics of the downside of the home, but it appears that there are props under the back of the house per the Zillow picture.
They are waiting for a fire.
The pictures show an open floor plan with a view. I was surprised by the bed that is in the open.
You would think that with the first complaint, they’d sent a police car to patrol the property.
The next to last and last pictures at Zillow tell you everything you need to know about the lot....
Have fun trying to plant and cut the grass.....LOL!
You obviously didn't read the article or view the house....LOL!
If you burn it down, they won’t come.
