Actually, the better approach would be to stop idiots from climbing the mountain. We stop people from going to environmentally fragile caves, parks, tundra, monuments, etc. If the situation is so dire on Mount Everest, why not just stop people from going there? Problem solved.

The camps look like garbage dumps. We can’t expect rich environmentalist to pack out their own garbage.

My son went to Everest Base Camp years ago, and ate at the Yak and Yetti restaurant in some little hotel. He and his friends got snowed in for five days,
To amuse themselves they told yak jokes .
