Lindsay Clancy judge declares mistrial — but lawyer granted Hail Mary bid to appeal

PLYMOUTH, Mass. – A judge declared a mistrial in Lindsay Clancy’s murder trial Friday on the seventh day of deliberations — but gave her defiant lawyer one hour to file an emergency appeal against the ruling.

The 12-person jury – made up of nine women and three men – told Judge William Sullivan that they could not agree on whether to convict Clancy, 36, of three counts of first-degree murder.

Pretty sure that one person was holding out to convict; otherwise, the defense counsel wouldn't be trying to have him (assuming it's one of the men) replaced.

I have been on a criminal jury that was split 10-2 for acquittal, the judge refused a mistrial and we kept deliberating and reached a verdict.

I promise you that any commenter here who “knows what they would have done” from reading news reports and internet slop has never been on a criminal jury.

I won’t call the jurors cowards. I would say that they are likely in fear of their lives if they would find her guilty. Leftists are flipping psychotic. That is a legit fear, and government won’t protect you.
File again, hopefully things cool down a bit, and a righteous and just decision will be made in the future.
