KOB 4 shared further:
Authorities arrested Jevon Martinez for damaging Flock cameras in Rio Rancho in May. Then, Wednesday, he posted video on social media appearing to show him driving around Albuquerque and taking down automated license plate readers once again.
In those videos, he comments that since the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office ended its contract with Flock last month, those cameras should no longer be out on the streets.
“Just for the record, I am not stealing these. I am not destroying them. I am simply returning them to the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Department,” he said in one video.
Martinez, who goes by “Johnvon Thechamp” on social media, said his issue isn’t with BCSO, but rather with Flock, whose automated license plate readers have become a major topic of controversy around the country.
The cameras can track locations and store identifying information about your vehicle, and there have been concerns police have been using the cameras for personal matters such as tracking former romantic partners.
“They are a clear and present threat to public safety,” Martinez previously said about the license plate reader cameras.

These flock cameras are nothing compared to what they are replacing them with. Axon.
Lol!
I see the name Axon displayed on a ton of arrest videos.
I believe this happened back in mid July
Repeat criminal. A real hero for many other perps. From July. Lock him up.
Judge to issue arrest warrant for suspected Flock camera vandal
RIO RANCHO, N.M. (KRQE) – After a bizarre scene in court on Monday, a judge said she will issue an arrest warrant for the man accused of vandalizing license plate readers in Rio Rancho, but he says he has no intention to stop his actions. Jevon Martinez, 44, is facing larceny, property damage, and tampering with evidence charges after police said he destroyed three Flock cameras, costing Rio Rancho thousands of dollars in damage. They said he replaced the cameras with a sign saying “You’re welcome, Republic of New Mexico.”
When asked if he planned to continue taking down the cameras, he said, “Absolutely. No absolutely. They are a clear and present threat to public safety.”
Martinez showed up to court on Monday, but he refused to identify himself during the proceedings. The judge considered that as failing to appear in court, but Martinez claimed he exercised his right to remain silent. “You know, you call me. I am here. I’m right here. I stood up. I walked up there. She wanted my name, but I have a right not to bear testimony against myself. Giving my name consults as testimony, and so I chose to remain silent,” said Martinez.
The judge said she would issue an arrest warrant for Martinez for failure to appear. As of Monday afternoon, it has yet to be filed. After the hearing, Martinez filed affidavits from witnesses saying he did show up for the hearing.
I wonder how many flock cameras exist in the US that were placed there by the CCP.
Not all heroes wear capes.
Probably at least half of FR.
I would have the title read “taking”, rather than “bringing”. (to the police station).
What’s happened to education in English grammar?
Agreed! The man is a patriot.
Axon has been the leader in PD dash cams and body cams for at least 15 years. PD in my old town had them back then. Good cops like them, they protect the cop from idiot citizens. We had one case where a citizen lied like hades about a cop interaction. In court. Solicitor pulled out the (new-ish at the time) body cams video that proved the cop in the right, the citizen a complete horse’s behind. Judge was not amused at the citizen lying to him, threw the book at the guy.
Bringing in the sheeps,
Bringing in the sheeps,
We shall come rejoicing,
Brining in the sheeps!............
And yes, I know it’s ‘sheaves’..........
The best idea I’ve heard is to drop lots of bird seeded in the ground under the camera’s. Birds will congregate and cover the lens and solar panels with bird crap rendering them useless.
I once met the inventor of the police dash cam. He said the same thing
