The mother of the crazed Queens woman who killed a new mom and seriously wounded an elderly dad in a terrifying Times Square stabbing spree is questioning why cops didn’t just “grab” her daughter rather than fatally shoot her when she charged at them with knives.
Pamela Cisneros, 49, stabbed Erin Piacenti, 32, and Tak Kam, 68, Monday afternoon before cell phone video showed her being surrounded by police and threatening to kill them with a large knife in each hand.

Yes. , I know in police shootings, people frequently criticized cops and say, why didn’t they shoot someone in the leg to disable them? Rather than taking a shot that killed them. It’s a perennial argument about police allegedly using excessive force.
What these people don’t understand ,is shooting someone in the leg, if the shot is in the right spot, it could cause someone to bleed out and die anyway. From being shot in the leg.
I would shoot her ...
If only a therapist had been there to ask her about her feelings, this could have been avoided.

If they tried to shoot the knives out of her hands, the bullets may have ricochet’d and hit the photographer in the background. But there was no guarantee that that would happen so they went for the sure thing. A bird in the hand as the saying goes.

It’s a virus that has infected liberals — mostly white female one — recently. The criminal becomes the victim; the victim becomes irrelevant.
They show extreme empathy for aggressors, zero for the victims. That suggests their empathy is fake.

She should have been immediately tased. Out of three officers surrounding her at what looked like sufficient closeness, none did so. Are New York City Police prohibited from carrying tasers?
That is alot of center mass.
They had to shoot her because harpoons are illegal.
Enough to change the path of a missed shot, but not enough to draw it into orbit around her.
Even Indiana Jones would have shot her.

Fatal mistake.
I heard that they did try to tase her. The way she was swinging her arms around looked like an attempt to keep the barbs from hitting her or break the wires.
Did they use a 600 Nitro Express (elephant round)?
The crazy lady’s death is also a shame. If it had to happen, well then, so be it, but it’s really too bad she too could not be saved from the consequences of her own craziness.
There was an incident posted here years ago where a shoplifter, who had been banned from Walmart or Target, showed up again to steal and tried to make a getaway in her car. A policeman tried to stop her and she drove off with him clinging to her door. He killed her and someone here posted a question, asking why he couldn’t shoot a warning shot in the air.
We are here to teach, folks.
