Dim, are we? A closed box truck gets really hot and the air is not circulating. There no seat belts back there and if there's an accident, people will be badly hurt.
They likely knew that ahead of time, but I suspect the collective IQ is somewhere south of 65.
Very happy the cops checked on those kids before somebody died.

If the truck is moving, there will be some ventilation and the airflow will cool the sides and top of the truck.
Plus I would assume there's some way to use a phone or bang on the walls to signify a need to stop.
People are not generally as stupid or as desirous of dying from heat stroke as you assume.
The truly dimwitted are those who accept the constant tutelary despotism of the state because of an exaggerated fear of low probability events.
