Troy Jackson, has not yet agreed to appear at the debates, which would all be hosted by local news outlets. “We believe any debates should be town hall debates — with Mainers in the room asking the questions that matter to their families,” Jackson spokesman Dan Gottlieb said.

It appears Susan Collins is fighting fair and offering voters more of a choice to her detriment. Good for her as she owes her enemies nothing. Sounds like the lefties up there can't handle 4 debates as it exposes them more.

Susan Collins represents Maine very well, often to our detriment. These people up there have a real problem with the POTUS and her limited support. The R next to her name is what sets them off. She doesn’t criticize her party like Fetterman and their nationalized efforts to oust her should really be directed somewhere else.

Collins heads the very powerful Appropriations committee....and brings home the bacon for her state bigtime.

She just appointed Graham's sister to the committee....

I know a lot of people on FR think that Collins is a horrible traitor and as bad as or worse than a Democrat, but I’ve always thought that she is probably as good as we are going to get in Maine. The idea that some true, 100% conservative or MAGA adherent is going to get elected in Maine is a fantasy. Collins is smart, knows Maine politics and can hold her own. She doesn’t make mistakes and, for once in her political career, is in a strong position to win.

At her age this should be her last senate run. My hope is that she and the others beat their opponents just barely while the squad in the house doubles in size. It. will give the DSA types the false hope that they can win in ‘28 thereby setting up the knockout punch.

The one democrat that could beat her was Jared Golden, the most ‘conservative’ democrat in the house. At a young 44 years of age he chose to quit rather than continue on. Can’t blame him but was it the drama in the house that he got tired of or was it his party? These 2 challengers were scraped up from the bottom of the barrel it seems. Since Trump won his district but couldn’t beat him perhaps there’s a future for him as a republican. Angus King is 82 and up in 2030. What if he croaks?
