Antichrist Economics: The First Showing in Our World

At the risk of sounding presumptuous, I often feel I should start my articles with a warning. I should clarify that I am not a prophecy buff, or a casual observer of prophetic events. I should also warn that I’m not a prophecy expert, although there are good ones who’ve spent many years studying eschatological doctrines.

I am a prophet. I am not a self-appointed or self-absorbed prophet. I didn’t dream myself into this place. I was called, and I am answering. Doubt, objections and arguments to the contrary are noted, but they will change nothing.

“Any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, or actual events is purely coincidental.”

This is another warning I probably should use. This is because while this parallel or reflection is toward a living person (the Secretary of the Treasury, Scott Bessent), it is not meant to cast an aspersion on him personally or in his public life. He seems a gentleman and a very good Secretary of the Treasury.

I’ve been convinced for a while that liberal economics, or socialism, is the power of the Antichrist.

Trying to create a world that emulates an unfallen world, using the power of government to enforce this.

There needs to be study of the sociology and psychology of those who are attracted to the idea, that is who wants the Antichrist to appear. That is, what are their motives?

Some years ago, on a very different forum, when Obama was running for POTUS the first time, some wit suggested, as is typical of elections, that Obama might be the Antichrist.

This flustered an O supporter so much that he blurted out that he *wished* O was the Antichrist.

This stopped the conversation cold. Eventually, and this is my point, the O supporter gave two simple reasons for his support:

“He will give us stuff and hurt the people we hate.”

Which brings me back to the sociology and psychology question about those who want the Antichrist to take over.

In a way it reminds me of the Hebrew believers of Moloch, whose priests said would grant wealth to those who sacrificed their children on his altar.

I guess such numbskulls will always be with us.

I think there will be many false prophets as we enter the end times. They will be convincing. They may be profound and truthful in many ways. They may even have good intentions. But you should avoid them like you would a rabid animal.

If someone wants to be “Raptured Out” because of the awful circumstances, what are they saying about all their loved ones, friends, and family? There is not too much of a concern for them. I had a Christian Volunteer on one of my Excavations in Israel that tell me, after we didn’t find the Temple Treasures that we were looking for, “I didn’t pay my taxes because I thought we would find the Temple artifacts, the Temple would be rebuilt, and he would be raptured out. So I asked him, “Are you trying to use Jesus to keep from paying your taxes?” He asked what he should do and I told him “Pay your damn taxes. Render unto Caesar what is Caesar’s”.>
