Bail-hating NYC judge has knack for cutting accused criminals loose — even in attempted-slay cases: damning Post review

She’s got a soft spot for suspects headed for hard time, critics charge.

Lefty Brooklyn Criminal Court Judge Janice Robinson has repeatedly cut accused criminals loose with no or minimal bail, including in attempted-murder cases — refusing to side with prosecutors’ recommendations in those instances even once, a damning review by The Post has found.

Since recently moving over from the civil bench, Robinson, the niece of a longtime Democrat state lawmaker, has consistently gone easy on many defendants, according to an examination of more than a dozen of her criminal cases.

Of those 13 cases, eight accused criminals walked out of court with no bail — including two charged with attempted murder, among them a minor who already had a pending attempted-murder rap against him. The other five defendants had bail set — but it was well below what the DA’s office requested, records show.

“She’s never set bail over $10,000, and that was on an attempted murder, which means you walk for a lousy 10% — a $1,000 — partially secured bond backed by nothing,” a frustrated law-enforcement source told The Post.

It is outrageous to refuse “to set meaningful bail on defendants with this many open cases — shooters, blatant recidivists who have shown they will shoot, steal and do violence no matter how many bites at the apple they get,” the source said.

The state Office of Court Administration, which speaks for judges in the state, did not respond to several Post requests for comment on Robinson’s behalf.

Nearly all of the defendants set free by Robinson in the reviewed cases have return dates to court later in the year, so it is not yet known if any will take advantage of their cushy situations and blow off their mandated appearances.

Robinson’s family members should be considered free game. Perps against the family should automatically be cut loose after they commit a crime against the Robinson Weaponized Slobs.

A mark made against one’s record for a fault or for misconduct is a “demerit”.

I propose that we use AI to “monitor” judges that have, say, 10 demerits imposed on them by AI for “inappropriate” sentencing, bail imposition, or general behavior.

Under this proposal, any judge that receives 5 more demerits, for a total of 15, would be automatically suspended without pay for 90 days and ONLY the Governor of a State can re-instate them. This will get the “human” (read lawyers!) element OUT of this equation except for the governor.

Some Freepers will say “hang em at 1 demerit”!. That will never pass into law. Judges should have a period of time to moderate their behavior before AI Fires (he he “suspends”!) them!

We had a judge like that in DC Superior Court. When he was a prosecutor, he was a bit of a hard-ass. Once he donned that robe, though, he went insane. We all hated him. He was a vile and racist sumbitch who put us cops on trial.

Or maybe they strutted out. Smirking. With a lively sashay in their hips. Happy day and out for a celebration. 🤩✌️🎆🎇🎈🎉🎊🎈🎉🎊

My hostility against soft on crime judges is increasing.

Now that I binge watch the slasher horror films (about 30 in the past few weeks) I am placing more judges with the media people and leftist politicians in my fantasy victim list. Not to mention the nonfiction book Pleasures of the Torture Chamber by John Swain which was reprinted as a bargain book by the book store chain Barnes and Noble after 12 printings of the 1950s edition.

The thug will eventually succeed in killing someone as long as judges such as this one keep releasing them.

That will never pass into law.

Vigilante character in movie Death Kiss.

Detective: "So, the law?"

"No. Justice."

She needs a half way house and rehab on her street, next door would be the best option of course. Could we crowd fund a couple million to buy the home next door to her and make it a half way house or rehab???

sounds like the judge is a danger to society! Who’s worse? The criminals he releases? Or him?
