Fauci Ducks Second Senate Panel After Taking the Fifth
Legal Insurrection ^

Posted on 08/17/2026 8:08:23 AM PDT by Tench_Coxe

Dr. Anthony Fauci has declined another Senate appearance, this one a voluntary, transcribed interview before Sen. Ron Johnson’s investigative subcommittee.

Johnson (R-WI) chairs the Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations, which is conducting a separate investigation into the federal COVID-19 response. The inquiry includes the safety and effectiveness of the vaccines.

The refusal came from Fauci’s attorney, David Schertler. He argued that forcing Fauci to appear again after the July 29 hearing would “impermissibly harass or degrade Dr. Fauci for political purposes.”

He has no fear of prosecution as he has a pardon. Whether I quote your entire paragraph or just one line the fact remains the same.

Here's what you left out:

"Maybe. Sort of. If you think Autopen Biden's pardon will stand up to scrutiny ... Autopen's pardon doesn't cover State charges."

I can't fathom any legitimate, honest reason for ignoring or glossing over those two comments. But that's exactly what can happen if someone is bound and determined to use your statements against you.

Again, anything you say can be used against you ... it cannot be used to help you.

Fauci is (IMHO) a scoundrel. Fauci is also getting good legal advice ... One would do well to learn from it.

He already has immunity, the pardon and the 5th amendment basically gives him a blanket immunity.

There is nothing the Congress can do to get him to testify.

At this point, only a state could bring charges against him, the only strategy going forward from the Republicans in Congress is to expedite the release of anything damaging against him and hope to sway public opinion against him.

Since I don’t see jail in his future, the next best thing for an ego maniac like him would be to make him public enemy #1 in the minds of the public.

Very good question. Do you know? I sure don't ... I wouldn't count on that pardon to be worth the paper it's printed on.

“...they will have to grant him immunity.”

He already has it. Biden issued a preemptive, unconditional pardon to Dr. Anthony Fauci on January 20, pardoning him for every crime attached to the covid actions. So Fauci is illegally using the fifth to claim self incrimination for something he can’t be tried and covicted of on anything they ask him, like the color of his tie, and he then can be in contempt of congress if they wish to persue it.

He is going quiet because if he names names on who he was working with or for concerning the covid span, he will end up just like Epstein. They can only put him in jail for 5 years but that would be perferable to the more permanant alternative.

Remember when the RATs used a film crew for one of their many committee attacks on PDJT?

Subpoena Fauci's diary, Senators asking it questions and someone there to read the appropriate entries. Must See TV

His lawyers clearly don’t think the pardon will hold

Fauci’ degraded himself.

Maybe there is an opportunity here for someone to make some money making and selling Fauci ducks.

Dr. Mengele, er, ........Dr. Fauci should be standing in front of a Firing Squad at Fort Leavenworth.

I submit that Dr. Fauci was worse than, “the Angel of Death!”

He is being investigated in FL and probably other places. So, testimony can be used as evidence. While he was pardoned for Federal Crimes, he still has state liability. In order for him to talk, he would have to be granted immunity, meaning his testimony could not be used in ANY prosecution.

I understand the desire to “string him up” but he is listening to his lawyers—and the lawyers are right in this case.

I guess it comes down to a choice: They can prosecute him or they can get him to talk. You aren’t getting both.
