Why the Soviet Union lost the Cold War...they had a bunch of ugly guys like Brezhnev.
Funny thing though, Nixon said that Brezhnev was quite the ladies man.
My high school US history teacher once commented that while he and his wife were at a Nixon For President rally his wife found herself at arms-length to Nixon. She could see beads of sweat and a 5 o’clock shadow on him, and decided then and there she would never vote for him. Presumably she went for lady’s man JFK. Her history teacher husband seemed to regard it as a just-shaking-my-head moment; there was nothing he could do.
