“Farage’s by-election victory won’t stop questions about finances” reads the BBC headline this morning. But if they took an interest in the finances of the other parties there wouldn’t be an MP in the house!
For a start, the £30m+ donations from the Sainsbury family to various trusts benefitting all three(!) main parties: Conservatives, Labour, and Liberal-Democrats!
What utter nonsense. Of course he got 67%, when the only other candidates were jokes led by Count Binface. All the main parties sensibly boycotted this travesty of an election, contrived by Farage by resigning his seat then standing again. The fact it happened at all demeaned and trivialised the electoral process.

With all the large parties boycotting, the percentage does not mean a lot. The increase in absolute number of votes does mean that he is maintaining his support.
