Here's to the Crew of the USS Abraham Lincoln CVN-72 and all embarked aboard her.

I’ve been on a small carrier/LHA in a war zone during the first Iranian dust up.

We did 105 days continuous at sea. Drank that beer on steel beach.

It was hard work, but we could have done another hundred days. The only thing we ran short of was fresh vegetables and milk.

I’m more concerned with this concerted effort by media...aided by a dozen pussies aboard...to undermine the esteem these sailors warrant. As always, getting the job done.

Bravo Abe Lincoln, BRAVO!!

The crews aboard the Lincoln have done, and are still doing great work for the nation.

And don't forget to congratulate those on the escort Destroyers and patrolling submarines.

This has been a tough pull for them and I, for one, express my gratitude.

That should be the headline the commie media runs!

I seem to remember something from either Obamao’s years or PedoJoe’s years about several CVN’s being laid up for lack of fuel rods for their reactors. Has this been remedied? It could explain the long tours our CVN’s have had in the last year.

Aren’t they cooped up with 100s of horny teenage and 20 year old females?

There might be 50 women, but they’re working hard too.

I doubt it is 50, I think it is in the 100s at least, isn’t their crew about 5,000?

An active U.S. Navy aircraft carrier typically embarks between 800 and 1,000 female service members, representing roughly 17% to 20% (and up to 25% on select deployments) of the total 4,500 to 5,000 personnel assigned to the ship’s company and the embarked air wing.

That doesn't have much to do with hormones. I suspect there are hook-ups.

Probably, but rare.

The penalties are severe.

Aren’t enlisted of the same rank allowed to have a relationship?

I was on an LHA in the 90s, as well. Steel beach picnics, beer days…
USS Peleliu.
We kept busy, but could always eat good chow and have down time.
And this was in Clinton’s Navy.

We love the families

Unfortunately sometimes a family member will use their position to make political points against our troops

Cindy Sheehan in 2005 brought this home. And there are many media outlets willing to play along.

There seems to be a move today to do this with the USS Abraham Lincoln.

Biden didn’t give a SH*T about our fighting forces. He was too busy CHECKING HIS WATCH to give a f*ck. He promoted DUDES IN DRESSES ON OUR SHIPS! NOW the media is concerned about mental health? SERIOUSLY?

My son was on the USS Abraham Lincoln on their way to home port when the Iraq war started. They turned around and headed for the Persian Gulf. They were out for 290 days total.
He made the most of it and hit the gym.
He went away a scrawny kid and came back looking like The Rock (almost).

I was reflectively against Cindy Sheehan when she first started speaking up. I saw her as being unpatriotic, someone who was undermining the morale of our troops.

But now I just don’t know. Bush II invaded Iraq without any declaration or war. Just a flimsy authorization from Congress. And where are the WMDs that Bush talked about?

You’d think they’d be in a museum somewhere, evidence that Bush was right. But all we have is a story. Some guy told some other guy that the WMDs were moved.

All that blood and treasure wasted. Maybe Sheehan wasn’t so wrong after all.
