Mass. teen charged with murder of mother and brother, DA says

A teen sought by authorities after two of his relatives were found dead Tuesday in Acton, Massachusetts, has been charged with murder, and investigators say he was using artificial intelligence to make searches about the killing of his family, the Middlesex District Attorney's Office announced Wednesday.

Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan initially said Tuesday that authorities were looking for 17-year-old Arjun Aravind, who lives in the Martha Lane house and was unaccounted for after a woman and male teenager were discovered dead there just after 6:30 p.m. He was found early Tuesday morning and taken into custody in Wayland.

The names Arjun and Aravind both originate from Sanskrit. Arjun (Sanskrit: Arjuna) means "white," "clear," "bright," or "shining" (like silver or lightning). It is derived from the Proto-Indo-European root h₂érǵ-u-nom and is famously associated with the heroic Pandava prince from the Hindu epic Mahabharata.

Aravind (Sanskrit: Aravinda) means "lotus." In Hindu tradition, the lotus symbolizes purity and enlightenment, and the name is deeply associated with Lord Vishnu, who is often depicted with lotus-like eyes (Aravindalochan).

I worked in that same sphere in the Boston area.

That area of Acton, which is heavily populated with Indians, it is almost like a conclave.

They have a park in the town (NARA Park) and every year they do fireworks on the Fourth of July at that park. (my wife, and I went there once, and the mosquitoes were so prevalent and ferocious that neither of us has ever gone back there) A friend of mine (who is not Indian) went to it, and was surprised at the large percentage of Indians that were present.

Oddly, he said that somebody walked up to him (an Indian) and said “you aren’t from around here are you?”

It was when he told me that story that I began to observe closely the makeup of that part of the community, and realized that the area had nearly been taken over to some degree.

I also have difficulty differentiating Pakistanis and Indians. I’m pretty certain that would be considered a great in salt, and it isn’t that I “can’t tell them apart“… I am just not as familiar with the bone structure of their faces or speaking mannerisms.

For those unfamiliar with Massachusetts...Acton is what I’d call a “distant” suburb of Boston...very affluent...very left wing.
