Jensen Huang built the world’s most valuable company by pioneering the specialized computer chips behind the artificial intelligence boom.
To keep his vision for the future within reach, the Nvidia founder is now attempting a different kind of engineering: convincing Wall Street investors that those chips are long-term financial assets akin to commercial real estate or toll roads.
His bet hinges on outpacing AI developments in China.
This week, Nvidia unveiled agreements with six of the world’s largest asset managers, BlackRock, Blackstone, Apollo, KKR, Brookfield and Goldman Sachs. The goal was to assemble a $500 billion pipeline to finance the construction of data centers and GPU clusters for companies that lack the credit rating or cash to buy millions of dollars of silicon outright.
Key to his plan, which Huang announced during a CNBC segment flanked by the leaders of all six Wall Street firms, is one crucial assumption: that Nvidia’s graphics processing units will hold their value over time, behaving more like traditional hard assets than fast-depreciating consumer electronics.

The Chinese are dedicated to AI and have lots more competent man power to throw at it. They have come up with ways to do AI cheaper. If you are a coder or anyone who does not mind the Chinese stealing your work, you can get it done at 5-10% the price at deepseek etc., and 80% as good as elite US AI sites.

So maybe we should save ourselves the big expense and steal from the Chinese like they've stolen our stuff for decades.
They are fast depreciating assets.
All of this chip stuff looks great until Jensen Huang runs out of OPM.

Kimi K3 and the Alleged Distillation from Anthropic’s Claude
Moonshot AI’s Kimi K3 has been at the center of a high-profile controversy after U.S. officials and Anthropic accused it of distilling—in a way they say is unauthorized—from Anthropic’s Claude models, including the newer Claude Fable 5.
What the allegations say
U.S. government: On July 22, 2026, White House science and technology policy director Michael Kratsios claimed Moonshot AI used a “sophisticated internal platform” to conduct large-scale, covert industrial distillation of Anthropic’s Fable model to develop Kimi K3 India Today+1. He said the company accessed high-end Nvidia GB300 servers in the U.S. and Thailand for training.
Anthropic: In February 2026, Anthropic accused Moonshot, DeepSeek, and MiniMax of running an industrial-scale extraction campaign using ~24,000 fraudulent accounts to generate over 16 million Claude exchanges, evading access restrictions www.mindstudio.ai. This was tied to capabilities like agentic reasoning, coding, and vision.
Moonshot’s position: The company has publicly denied that Kimi K3 is a distilled replica of an existing model, attributing its performance to new architecture, including Kimi Delta Attention, Attention Residuals, and a sparse mixture-of-experts framework glitchwire.co
nvidia’s legacy chips are currently appreciating in value because the demand is so strong.
a lot of new chip players are coming into the market but the demand will only climb from here. musk is building a gigantic chip factory but it will struggle to keep up with musk’s own inhouse demand.
I think for now the signal is the rising price of legacy nvidia chips. and that’t the core of Jensen’s argument.
