These horrible parents and their spoiled brat child should be banned from flying for the rest of their lives.

The only reason my kid wouldn’t have wanted to sit was their butt would be on fire.
All passengers deplane then kick the parents ass in the terminal.
Why the f didn’t security just grab the brat and parent and throw them off and get on with the flight. The rebooked everyone on a flight the next day? So now all those people have to sleep in the airport or rent a hotel and miss everything they were traveling for. Ridiculous.

Absolutely agree with the sentiment that only the child and parents should have been removed from the aircraft.
Well ... it IS O, Canada.
The parents certainly must know their child has social/developmental problems, but its too far for them to say "we'll just drive," as its a 2700 mile trip.
I suspect they stupidly thought they could somehow manage the child with iPads, snacks, or drugs.

Let the dogs and cats in crates fly up front and put the brats AND their parents in those crates!!!How they act at check-in would be a way to make sure they don’t stay in the cabin........same goes for those who are drunk and guarantee they’ll be a problem in the cabins.....
The parents and child might be Inuit.
The Inuit have a tradition of terribly spoiling their children, giving them everything they want (at least what is possible).
In one of the Actic explorer journals, a prominent explorer, lives with the Inuit for years, and is told the reason. The Inuit believed the spirit of a recently departed, close relative in habited each child to guide them through childhood to adolesence. It would be disrespectful to not give the ancestral spirit what it demanded, or to discipline the ancestral spirit.
The explorer gave an example where the party was near starvation, and had to pull a sledge after having eaten the dogs. The child, about 10 years old, insisted on riding in the sled, and not helping. The parents allowed this destructive behavior.
About two years later, the girl was becoming adolescent. She tried to disobey her father and got a resounding slap. From then one, she did what she was told.
