President Donald Trump is expected to be in northeast Ohio on Tuesday, Aug. 11 for the final day of the Patriot Games.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt posted to X on Sunday:
“President Trump looks forward to attending the Patriot Games in Ohio on Tuesday as we continue to celebrate 250 years of American greatness!”
The Patriot Games are a national youth sports competition organized as part of the nation’s 250th birthday celebration.
According to a media release, the games are designed to “highlight the next generation.”
“The competition will include rounds that test excellence in skillsets of beloved American sports, including elements from football, basketball, soccer, track, and more. Competitions will feature both team and individual competitions. Competitors will be tested on the skills from the Presidential Fitness Test, go through a military-inspired boot camp circuit, and finalists will compete in an obstacle course designed to test strategy and skill,” describe the release.
The three-day event is being hosted by SPIRE Academy in Geneva.
On the final day, one male and one female competitor will be crowned champions. Each will earn a $125,000 scholarship.
