A female homeowner who allegedly kidnapped, chained and padlocked an intruder before taking a baseball bat to his suspected accomplices is an NDIS support worker.
Kylee Barbette Robinson, 52, allegedly found a thief in her shed at her home in Raymond Terrace, north of Newcastle, NSW, and attacked him with the baseball bat.
She is then accused of tying him up by the neck with a padlock and chain before ordering him to take her to other items that had already been stolen from her.

The only problem I see here is that she used a baseball bat ...
A cricket bat would seem more authentically Australian.
The police would not have caught them. The prosecutor would not have charged them. The court would not have punished them. She is just doing what she has to do to prevent thieves who break in and steel and murder if they want. The courts better get off their dead butts.
She must have a very forceful personality, especially when angered
The first Thief felt compelled to obey her. He took her to the homeless community, where the other robbers lived.
I would have thought the first Thief would have taken that baseball bat away from her. Or tried to.
If he was on her property and committing a burglary, how is that kidnapping it is detaining? If that is the case, then technically police can’t detain you either.
As Kramer said about the waitress from Reggie’s: “Yeah, well I’ll tell ya, she’s a full-figured gal!”
Police can do (or not do) as they damn well please, and almost always get away with it. Governments give government agents "immunity" to prevent government being held accountable to the people government is supposed to serve. It's all very convenient.
From government's point of view, the worst possible thing is for people to take justice BACK into their own hands. Doing so highlights the incompetence, the corruption, the malfeasance, the misfeasance of government. It breaks the illusion of government benevolence.
And THAT cannot be tolerated ... the illusion must be maintained at all cost.

Only surprised that here and abroad we aren’t seeing more “vigilante justice”.
Our law enforcement and even more so our “justice department” and political leaders has been failing us. Seemingly deliberately.
