Veteran actor Jeff Bridges has seen enough of Hollywood’s enthusiastic embrace of artificial intelligence (AI) to know it’s hastening the demise of people like him in an industry that has delivered so much to so many through pure human endeavor.
But all is not lost for the son of Lloyd and brother of Beau.
He used an interview to outline that if you can’t beat it, enjoy it, as he charted AI’s development since he first came across it as a video game character in the classic Tron back in 2010.
If all else fails he can simply monetize his own image and on-screen likeness.
Bridges is far from alone in his bleak assessment of the future role of human actors in Hollywood.
As Breitbart News reported, Oscar-nominated actor James Woods warned last December AI is not a short-lived craze, but a technology that could mean the “end of human actors” in Hollywood.
“AI is the end of human actors. I’m adamant about this,” Woods told Fox News’ Brian Kilmeade in a Sunday interview, repeating similar fears from fellow actors.

The Dude abides.
Even in AI
The Dude is probably out of gigs already since he started working with Taylor Sheridan.
I would hope that people tire of watching AI movies.
But then I do enjoy Amelia videos. So who knows?
If they bring back long dead actors, musicians & politicians I will pay no attention. Especially if they put them to everything woke.
Everyone is going to be doing this. There just aren't any new movie stars. If you want to put butts in cinema seats, you need Tom Cruise or Brad Pitt to sell those tickets and they ain't getting any younger.
Established stars could license the likenesses of their younger selves. Imagine a new film today with a 27-y/o Jack Nicholson? The estate holders of deceased actors could do the same and we'll get new films with John Wayne, James Dean, or Marilyn Monroe, faces that even today's teens recognize.
The AI tech is improving by orders of magnitude every year.
They are just well-done cartoons.
On a related Taylor Sheridan note, the Season 3 opener of "Lioness" which hit Paramount+ last week was one of the greatest spectacles I've ever seen on television.
Holy smokes!
Bah all fake, they’ll play any woke part “asked” of them.
John Wayne’s time was over 50 years ago.
If they made the movies in a way true to the original man...
I have to admit, I would love to see some new John Wayne movies..
You do bring up an interesting point. My Mother still goes to the cinema (or did while Dad was alive). I expect that she wouldn’t know, and would be pleased to see “young Jack” still acting.
People will get sick of AI movies like they are sick of Hollywood now ,LOL

My favorite scene in Great Lebowski is when the three black clad (like Dieter) German nihilists throw a marmot into the Dudes bathtub water. Then as they storm out, with threats of bodily harm, one of them pounds the Dude’s turntable with a cricket bat.

They would not be new John Wayne movies.
Like when fake Ahnold returned for a the opening scenes of a Terminator remake. It looked mostly like the younger him but was not.
And the old Hollywood icons are still universally recognized. The new ones, much less so because there's no longer a monoculture.
Florence Pugh could walk into a Walmart unrecognized. Timothy Chalamet might get a couple of giggling teen girls asking for his autograph.
If Tom Cruise walked into a Walmart, the place would go crazy.
There you go. Problem solved.
I know he’s a rebel, and probably a leftist, but I’ve always liked him.
Imagine how much worse it must be for Beau Bridges.
