Americans had an advantage the Persians didn’t. We had guns. On April 19th 1775 when the British tried to take those guns away , that is when our revolution started. July 4;, 1776 is merely when politicians caught up with a war already in play.

Another American patriot advantage that is most of the military might of our enemy, the Brits, was overseas. The Americans were the ones fighting on their own turf. But in Iran, both sides, including the IRGC, is fighting on its on turf. So the good guy Iranians are having to fight their neighbors.
It’s more like the US Civil War than the American Revolution. And we know how that turned out.

Iran is right next door to the immense Israeli arsenal ... Getting bombs INTO Iran (being as efficiently accomplished as we have seen 😁) ... I'm sure Israel could transport weapons there for the civilians, as well
