Funny thing is his plan was to have white workers get houses in Dearborn and his many black workers in adjoining Inkster. Sadly, Inkster is now one of the poorest and rundown small cities in Michigan. The best retail section on Michigan Avenue is about 40% boarded up lately.
Henry Ford spent years living down the bad PR of his famously anti-Semitic newspaper and speeches by his aides.
Dearborn Independent still in history books for that. But today that would be a popular selling point for the city which has a Muslim mayor and all Muslim city council and has city office building signs in Arabic with smaller letters below in English.
