Yesterday, the President signed new Executive Orders expanding the definition of who is excluded from Birthright Citizenship. While there is an absolute likelihood that all those really smart attorneys and other people in the Executive branch came up with the updated policies independent of anything I floated here, in the blogosphere, and through indirect channels, I will take it as a win. Even if independently arrived at by others, the ideas floated here definitely appear to have been ground into the sausage making process of the new policies.
Never underestimate the impact of Free Republic on national debates! -- Back in 2008, when I was a completely unknown congressional candidate running against one of the most corrupt and powerful congressmen in US history and did not even know what FreeRepublic was, it was a Freeper (Hope you are still out there and in good health, Rusty!) who elevated my campaign on this forum and got the attention of Michelle Malkin and other members of the national press, enabling my campaign to give John Murtha a run for his money. This is all true, but because this site has been influential we should never underestimate the motivation of those who oppose us to target this site with trolls etc.
I saw Buckhead’s post within minutes of it being made. I had experience with typewriters and strong experience with PC printing technologies, and immediately knew he had nailed it.
A few days later a gif someone made of CBS’s fake memo fading into a Microsoft Word document with default settings (they were basically identical) made the fakery obvious to anyone with half a brain cell.
It still took a couple/few weeks for CBS to admit it.

BTW while Buckhead hasn’t participated here in a long time, he was a defense attorney for some of the other people caught up in Fulton County GA DA Fani Willis’ political prosecution of Trump.

It was under a different name, but I've basically been lurking since initial days of the Lewinsky drama. Several months later I decided it looked too fun than to not be in too so I took the plunge.
There has never been a site like Free Republic. It's the very first site I go to each morning for news and is the last I check before going to bed at night.

Been here since 2003, I remember the Rather story in real time. I remember a story in some German paper after the 2004 election about the power of free republic accusing of the “nocternal pasting over of posters”. Bad computer translation but the comments were hilarious. I’ve been called a communist, written an opus, regretted every vote for President that I held my nose for the rino but I am still here.
I’m outside the mainstream of the party and this site as a populist but I still trust the news and opinions here more than anyone else’s.
I would disagree, we finally are getting a toehold on power while Trump is in.
