A stone-faced Senator Bernie Moreno (R-OH) told reporters on Capitol Hill on Tuesday that his former son-in-law, Rep. Max Miller (R-OH), has put his family through the “seventh level of hell” as calls grow for Miller to step down from Congress.
It was the latest public appearance by Moreno, whose daughter, Emily Moreno, has accused Miller of abusing her and their daughter.
Emily Moreno has claimed that Miller pointed a gun at her head, doused her with scalding hot water, shoved her into a wall, and fractured their daughter’s collarbone.
Miller has vehemently denied the allegations.
Approached by TMZ DC’s Jacob Wasserman and other reporters on Tuesday, Moreno was asked about a social media post by Miller in which he accused the senator of calling for his resignation to avoid “your own media circus.”
“Ramblings of a madman,” Moreno replied. “I don’t even know what that means.”
He went on: “What my daughter has been through, what my wife is going through, this is the truly the seventh level of hell. This has been a horrific experience for my entire family. My daughter specifically did not want this to be out in public.”
In a chilling comment, Moreno added, “My daughter lives in constant fear of this man.”
Moreno also spoke out about the allegations that Miller publicly shared a Dropbox folder full of materials on X, including an intimate image of his granddaughter with her name in full view.
Miller’s lawyer, Aaron Minc, later took responsibility for publicly sharing the inappropriate photo on social media.
“Releasing photos of my granddaughter, completely naked. Now you have hundreds of thousands of psychotic human beings that have that. and to say, ‘Oops!’ is grotesque,” he said. “My personal opinion is that this is a felony and every single human being who touched that photo and transmitted it electronically should go to jail because it is illegal to do that.”
In a statement to Mediaite, Minc apologized for what he called a “completely unintentional” inclusion of the 2-year-old’s image, which “appeared” to show the child’s genitals and could be subjected to a child sex abuse material investigation, according to Emily Moreno.
“There were no images of ‘genitals,’” Minc told Meidiate. “A two-year-old girl had her shirt off. That is a deliberately false, sensationalized, and disgusting characterization.”
On Sunday, Moreno called on his son-in-law to quit Congress, saying in part, “As a father and husband, I can tell you the last two years have been pure hell for my wife Bridget, our daughter Emily, me, and our entire family in the aftermath of Emily’s divorce.”

The bigger question is... Are there photos of the genitals of the two year old and who took them?

Two things can be true at once.
I heard about this on talk radio. I’ve watched enough court-cam on YouTube to know that these abuse charges could be true, or it could just be a he said-she said disgruntled wife during a bitter divorce/custody battle. After all, Ivana Trump accused DJT of raping her during their divorce, then recounted it after they settled.
But they are not only hurting themselves and their child and each other with this drama, it may end up helping the Demonrats in the fall election.
What seems to be undeniable is that a photo of Moreno’s granddaughter was released to the public on X with at minimum her shirtless, and by someone on Miller’s team, if not Miller himself.
That alone makes me not want him in the party. I would consider that a threat to my own grandkids had my daughter’s ex-husband (if she had one) did this and didn’t accept responsibility for this disgusting act.
With high stakes dirty divorce cases, I start with the assumption that everyone is lying for leverage. Murderers tend to be nicer folks that someone in the midst of a messy divorce.
