Working relationship between victim and killer in Chino Hills kidnapping-execution revealed

The victim in the terrifying Chino Hills kidnapping-execution had a disturbing working relationship with his killer, according to official records unearthed by The Post.

California state business records show that 67-year-old murder suspect Zhengfeng Bo, who allegedly shot 60-year-old Chino Hills resident Shukur Aikebaer to death in front of police after kidnapping him, was also the victim’s boss.

Both the killer and his alleged victim worked for a limited liability firm called Panshi, according to state business records. Panshi, which means “boulder” in Mandarin, was a real estate investment company based out of Zhengfeng’s Irvine home.

Zhengfeng was listed as chief executive officer of the firm in public records, while Aikebaer was identified as the firm’s secretary. Paperwork for the firm was initially filed by Aikebaer in 2018, while Zhengfeng filed updated documents in 2025 and 2026.

Aikebaer also served as a “middleman” for Zhengfeng regarding a $20 million apartment complex in Pasadena, according to ABC 7. Zhengfeng was suing the former managers of the apartment complex, claiming they were not allowing him to take control of the property.

The men had roles together in at least two LLCs, according to business records reviewed by the outlet.

Cops say Zhengfeng had an accomplice, 66-year-old Jianquan Bo, in the car with him when the shocking murder occurred. Jianquan and Zhengfeng lived at the same Irvine address where Panshi was based.

The five-bedroom, five-bath home boasts 4,456 square feet and is worth an estimated $3.3 million, according to PropertyShark. Property records indicate that Zhengfeng and another person named Weiwei Shi bought the home in 2018 for $1.8 million.

The relationship between Zhengfeng and Shi is unclear. Shi did not respond to a request for comment.

The fact that the shooter probably knew he’d be shot by the cops brings to mind the sort of thing that might have happened during the Cold War. The ideology might kill even if he will be killed to protect his “cell.” I’d say it was either crazy behavior, or ideology. Since there are others involved and apparently a lot of money, I’d tend towards ideology.

The Uyghurs are currently being genocided by China. So this is a VERY strange relationship.

“My guess is money was missing.... ...”

The thing about money is you try to recover it. If you’re starting move is to shoot the guy, then throw him in the trunk without actually killing him, it could mean they were going to question him. But if that’s the plan, shooting him is high risk for two reasons. One, he knows there’s no out so why would he talk? And two, you’d have to be a crack shot and know anatomy well enough not to have him bleed out or die from shock. I’m guessing money was not the issue.

It’s something personal, in which case why bring along someone else? Or it’s political. Sixty something seems a bit old to be a spy, but in many cultures the power that comes with the job is not something you give up until you die. They wouldn’t be the first spies to turn their insider knowledge or contacts into personal money.

I’ve been betting my friends that at least half of Irvine’s current residents are the illegal alien rich. They come in on visitor visas and never go home.

With any luck these three Mandarin clowns will vindicate my argument and I’ll start collecting on my bets.

There is nothing stopping foreign nationals from buying houses in California. If you have realtor friends you have been hearing about full cash buys above asking price for the last 25 years.

These aren’t Americans. When Irvine was first developing the city was American. Now it seems like it’s overwhelmingly Chinese, India and the Middle East.

I keep hoping that ICE decides to go through upscale Orange County in addition to thinning out the usual spawn of Mexico.

Since the victim was the Company Secretary, it may have been over embezzlement of funds. If the funds were spent on gambling, hookers or comestibles, or just plain wasted, then there won’t be any recovery of funds.............
