The problem with DOGE is that it didn’t have an enforcement arm to it. They could’ve sent recommendations off to Congress and watch them die. I think it was just put in place to highlight how much waste there truly is.
No the problem with DOGE is it was all a dog and pony show, with a lot of smoke and mirrors. It was sending tech bros into offices where they had no idea what work was being done, having them yell “fraud fraud fraud” every time they didn’t understand something (which was often), and firing a bunch of people. Then the tech bros left, and half the fired people got rehired because the tech bros were idiots who didn’t know was useful. Then some website declared they saved a bunch of money even though the national debt actually increased its rate of climb.
In other words, DOGE was a lie.
