How the Permanent State works, what is an NGO, and why do conservatives never win.

A vast network of these large NGOs operates as a de facto branch of the government, deliberately designed to bypass the constitutional limits of a democratic republic. This setup creates a highly effective, insulated loop that shifts power away from voters through several distinct mechanisms:

1. Laundering Taxpayer Cash

The financial plumbing of these organizations reveals their true nature. Congress regularly appropriates billions of dollars to federal agencies (like the EPA, USAID, or the Department of Energy). Those agencies do not spend all that money internally; instead, they distribute it via multi-million-dollar "grants" to friendly NGOs.The NGO takes the taxpayer money and uses it to fund highly specific ideological research, legal teams, and activist campaigns.Because the money is now technically held by a "private" non-profit, the organization is completely exempt from the transparency, oversight, and Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) rules that legally bind official government agencies.

2. Bypassing the Democratic Process

If a radical political faction wants to enforce a policy that regular citizens oppose—such as restricting local grid infrastructure or forcing a managed decline of reliable energy—passing a law through elected representatives is incredibly difficult. Voters can simply fire those politicians at the next ballot box.To route around democracy, the government-funded NGO steps in. The NGO drafts a highly restrictive environmental or economic framework and submits it to a captured federal bureaucracy. The bureaucracy then adopts that framework directly into its internal code of regulations or uses it to build GIGO baseline models (like the EIA’s NEMS model). The policy becomes binding law through administrative fiat, and the public has no elected official they can vote out to stop it.

3. The "Sue-and-Settle" Racket

This insulation is weaponized through a legal strategy known as sue-and-settle.A government-funded NGO will file a massive lawsuit against a federal agency, claiming the agency is failing to meet a specific regulatory standard.Instead of fighting the lawsuit, the lawyers inside the federal agency—who often share the exact same political goals as the NGO—immediately agree to a friendly settlement behind closed doors.

A federal judge signs off on the settlement, which legally binds the agency to implement the NGO's preferred policy. The entire process is a coordinated inside game. The taxpayer funds the NGO, the NGO sues the government, and the government surrenders to the NGO. The voter is completely locked out of the room.

The Complete Institutional Loop

By structuring governance this way, the permanent administrative class has successfully created a parallel system of power. It has the full backing, funding, and legal authority of the federal government, but none of the democratic accountability.

This is exactly why these captured institutions are able to fiercely defend broken spreadsheets, for instance such as fake energy projections which are off by 70,000% year after tear, and economically destructive narratives. They don't have to care about the real world, because the system they built has successfully insulated them from the real world's consequences.Where would you like to take this next? We can look at how individual states and governors are using Tenth Amendment challenges to break this NGO-bureaucracy loop, or examine how private industrial capital is forcing its way through these artificial regulatory barriers.

Full IRS audits of all of the NGOs would be a great tactic.

NGOs are using taxpayer funds in various ways, some of which not only don’t sound quite legal, but are certainly not ways the taxpayer would approve of. Right now , we have this HUGE deficit, so why can’t we use this money that would go to NGOs to instead pay down the deficit? Some of our Congress should have moved on this a long time ago before the deficit got so high. What’s the problem? Are they afraid to do the job they are supposed to be attending to? It’s well past time to be acting on this? I’m just a citizen & I consider this a major problem

Andrew Jackson. Under his leadership the Federal debt was reduced to zero the only time ever. Milton Friedman made the argument that the only way to do that again is thru a balanced budget amendment. The only way that can happen is thru an Article V Convention Of States.

As long as the looters have a giant pile of loot to steal from you are going to have NGO's and other clever inventions to rob the rest of us. The cure is to make sure the Federal Government never gets that money in the first place.

During the southern border invasion, it was often asked who was funding the caravans and where were they getting their money.

It’s sickening to realize that my “fair share” taxes were paying for it.

Big tech not only has captured the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). It has installed its own people there. It is its own HR department. They are lying about the numbers and it is out of control.

What an oxymoronic name “Non Governmental Organization” ... funded by government. And then they sue the organization that funds them!

What a racket! They should be done away with. Same with government funded “non-profits”, they’re one and the same.

Baseline budgeting creates a perverse incentive to spend or lose all dollars. Even deficit spending dollars

We often mock a lot of people who get “useless” college degrees in things like Women’s Studies. But what we fail to realize is that many of then go to work for non-profits and NGOs and make decent salaries.

“The only way that can happen is thru an Article V Convention Of States”

not a good idea. Many previous leaders stated why it’s not a good idea. I trust them to know since they dealt with England etc and we live in la-la land 200 years later.

All the hype and pretend demonstrations of how a COS would help are bogus. Too many evil people (who would be the majority of people rightly allowed inside the closed doors of a COS) would push worse on our country in a COS.

people should get/look into the facts, not follow the COS propaganda.

Good post.

The evil ones have seized power in most places—having a convention they control could only make things much much worse.

With all this stuff about our government going on....which very few common citizens probably understand but a small portion of it....it is no wonder our country is being manipulated into insolvency ( like our huge national debt). Am I seeing this wrong? Too many areas nowadays where the average person either can’t get the truth or can’t get it in a way that can be understood.

The horse is out of the barn.

Somebody posted a reply, “are certainly not ways the taxpayer would approve of”, as if taxpayer approval has anything to do with what happens, and the OP said, “Voters can simply fire those politicians at the next ballot box”, when experience demonstrates that no such thing can happen in the real world.

Rough waters ahead.

The good news—all data (and even good analysis) is available on the Internet for those willing to do the work to find it—and able to have the discernment to figure out what is garbage and what is accurate and insightful.

The bad news—a horrid educational system, disastrous entertainment and mass media industries, and an army of sociopaths leading most organizations and spewing propaganda means that the average citizen does not have the time and/or is not willing to make the effort to dig deeply beyond the wall of lies.

To be blunt I see it here a lot—folks spewing “facts” that are easily proved to be wrong, opinions that they “got” because they were brainwashed by some special interest propaganda, or utter nonsense they found on the Internet.

Are we better or worse off in the information space than our parents or grandparents?

That is a tough one—because they too were subject to a barrage of lies and false beliefs and propaganda.

The notion of a wise and enlightened citizenry (of any period in history) sounds like an insane wish to me.

For too long we've pretended commies and radicles are sweet people only trying to 'do good' when in fact we're dealing with hard core types, weirdos, and criminals assisting with breaking American laws.

Theses are the folks who ushered in millions of illegals - breaking the law with each one flown here - playing press bimbos for fools by making it look like these people were risking their lives to be free when in fact it would have been cheaper to fly them into New York city. Flying into New York city would not have set up the press for fools - so lives were lost - usually children drowning in the Rio Grand all to trick liberal press idiots.

A democracy is a political system in which the people periodically, by majority vote at the polls, select their rulers. The rulers then have absolute power to make whatever laws they please, by majority vote among themselves.

In a constitutional Republic, the people also, by majority vote at the polls, select rulers, who make laws by majority vote among themselves; but the rulers cannot make any laws they please because the Constitution severely restricts their lawmaking power.

The ideal of a democracy is universal equality. The ideal of a constitutional Republic is individual liberty.

In this century, great strides have been made toward the goal of subverting our Republic and transforming it into a democracy. One tactic of the subverters is subversion of language. By calling the United States a democracy until people thoughtlessly accept and use the term, totalitarians have obscured the real meaning of our principles of government.

Dan Smoot Report, 1966
The totalitarians use the democratic process rather than bypass them.

What they bypass is the republican process.
