Fire fans didn’t offer a warm welcome to Sophie Cunningham.
The Indiana star was booed by fans during the Fever’s 112-98 win over the Fire at the Moda Center on Friday night in Portland as fallout over her comments regarding trans athletes continues.
Cunningham scored 13 points off the bench while Caitlin Clark scored a team-high 26 points.
Earlier this month, Cunningham made waves for saying she wants to “protect young girls in a locker room, or young girls in sport who shouldn’t have to go against biological men” in an ESPN profile.
The discourse around the quote was amped up when a pair of young fans, wearing apparel from XX-XY Athletics and holding signs supporting the 29-year-old guard sitting courtside for a game in Seattle were allegedly called “****ing insane” by Storm co-owner Celeste Keaton.
One of the fans was reportedly left in tears following the encounter.
Keaton was suspended for five home games and fined an undisclosed amount by the WNBA.
“I think at the end of the day, I come in and I do my job,” Cunningham said before the Fever’s win. “I think everyone who knows me personally, they know that I’m full of love. I’m bubbly. I love the people around me. I love basketball. I love inspiring the next generation and doing that in a positive light. And so that doesn’t even cross my mind. Doesn’t cross my teammates’ minds.

If I was Sophie, I’d watch my back. At the very least she could easily be ‘Nancy Kerriganed” by some wacko. Hell, one of the opposing players could do that with one dirty play. At the worst she could be really taken out by some crazed lunatic driven by hate. These trans crazies would see nothing wrong with killing her because she dissed them and stood up for normality.
Regardless of how anyone feels about the basketball skills of Ms. Cunningham, everyone can agree she is right about protecting women.

The whole point of the WNBA sports league for the spreaders of the woke mind virus is that it was created by radical feminists who then have been utilizing the league as a means of spreading the virus.

- A league ostensibly created for WOMEN turns out to be controlled by literal Commie Marxist revolutionaries who want all the sisters to shut up and sit down and stop interfering with the glorious cause of cultural demoralization and destabilization.
They used a 100% FAKE solidarity with women to lure them into this. They **always** intended to betray women. This was always their goal.
The fatal problem they face right now is that they had ASSUMED they would be enacting their betrayal of women by promoting trans all across the cultural spectrum [especially in the American sports world] from a position of STRENGTH and DOMINANCE.
The people behind the spread of the woke mind virus could never in a million years have envisioned just 3 years ago where they would be standing on the cultural battlefield for 'trans rights' in 2026:
- In full retreat. Losing ground. Losing it grudgingly and spitefully, but losing it all the same.
Most of their 'popular support' for the abandonment and subjugation of women to men with mental issues was ever and always illusory.
They never really held most of the cultural ground they claimed they did.
So now we're treated to otherwise sane people in a captured ideological institution of a sports league forced to sit there on camera and gaslight and say absurd things.
- We know they are saying absurd things.
- They know they are saying absurd things.
- We know that they know they are saying absurd things.
And yet they will continue saying absurd things to us.
Either the WNBA ceases to be an ideologically captured institution being run by people in contravention to reality, or it will not survive.
The handwriting is already on the wall.
Ball is in your court, WNBA. You are not a victim. You will decide your own fate.
