Gun rights: Voted yes on 2018 Parkland SB 7026 (age-21 rifle ban, red-flag laws). As Speaker blocked open-carry amendment to 2023 permitless-carry bill (called too controversial). Gun groups label it betrayal; he now pledges repeal and open carry.

Experience: Navy veteran, former prosecutor, FL House member/Speaker (2022-24). Helped pass school choice, abortion limits, immigration enforcement under DeSantis. No executive/statewide office experience.

Campaign weaknesses: Low single-digit polls (2-5%); massive fundraising gap vs. Donalds; no Trump endorsement; DeSantis called race entry "ill-advised." Attacks on Donalds seen as desperate.
