Tim Robbins turns to ayahuasca after feeling 'consumed by anger' over cancel culture

The "Shawshank Redemption" star said he turned to the Amazonian psychedelic brew with one goal in mind — to stop being "consumed" by outrage over what he sees as the unraveling of modern society.

Robbins said his psychedelic experience was an intense spiritual journey that included what he described as an encounter with his late mother.

"What she said was, 'You're injured. You're a warrior, and you're injured and you need to rest, but the fight's not over,'" Robbins recalled.

"I was battling my frustration with the dissolution of society, people being angry at each other over ridiculous things, long friendships being affected, people being canceled for expressing their opinion, all this stuff," he said. "And I wanted out. I wanted to be absolved of that. I didn't want to be engaged in it."

not dismissing the psychedelic

And it's likely a good treatment for the bona fide mental health problems you mention.

But Robbins is just an idiot who doesn't feel comfortable w/his own life, not realizing how it's just lying in the mental-bed he made w/leftist clap-trap.

There are a growing number of vets who’ve suffered PTSD for years and found complete relief with one or rarely two treatments with ibogaine, a similar hallucinogen. Dont discount the efficacy of natural treatment instead of years of treatment with drug industry poisons

I am in my mid sixties. Why on earth would I go public with my “mommy issues?” Who does that help? What does he expect the world to do with this information?

Just another “celebrity” saying, “look at me!”

I’m thinking... He still has some mommy issues.

Marrying Susan Sarandon should’ve taken care of those issues... But they are apparently persisting.

Guys, let me fill in some info here. What they don’t tell you is that he said this while on Joe Rogan’s podcast. I listened to the whole thing yesterday and expected Tim to be a stark raving liberal. It sounds like he’s not any more. I think it could have been Susan Sarandon that was making him act like that. What I heard on Rogan was a guy who was starting to think for himself, and thought that the left is crazy, and that cancel culture was bad, and that lockdowns shouldn’t have happened and several other “That’s not what the left is saying these days!” kinda things.

...self hatred of his own Western culture and religion so turns to pagans and their dope for solace.

Some cultures would also claim that people who believe someone being crucified and rising from the dead would be just as ridiculous.

When a person takes a dirt nap, then they might find out the truth, or maybe find out all the truths. May it and DMT are like taking the Red Pill. A belief in something doesn't mean one is right.

Anyone who hates their own culture and turns to another, like an adolescent rebelling against their parents, is a flake.

And feels the need to share this experience with the world.

I can now breathe a bit easier knowing Tim is back on his drugs....

I get the feeling that there are similar issues with the Kurt Russell - Goldie Hawn relationship. Seems they’re on opposite sides politically.

“So long Timmy. Have a nice trip. Hell, I’d do it just for the ride and to enjoy the scenery.”

It’s really NOT a nice ride, you drink ayahuasca while dressed in a robe...after a while you vomit repeatedly and start crapping yourself.

Lather, rinse repeat.

Later the hallucinations begin...
