Trump has turned out to be a far better president than I ever thought he would be. He has been right on so many issues, why shouldn't I trust him on this?

Because he's not infallible, and he does have a track record of letting himself get led astray by duplicitous @ssholes.

And lest anyone think Trump was entirely innocent in that debacle, remember that he was still running around on the campaign trail in 2024 bragging about "Operation Warp Speed" ... until someone on his campaign staff with half a brain pointed out to him that this kind of nonsense would always attract a chorus of boos from his own supporters at his own political rallies.

Here you are correct. Trump is not infallible. "Operation Warp Speed" turned out to be a disaster, but I very greatly doubt anyone could have done any better, what with all the "experts" giving worthless advice.

So Trump did make that "mistake", though he would have to have second sight to see that coming.

But other than that, he's pretty damn good. His instincts are almost always right. He's the best at this job that i've ever seen, or even read about in history.

His track record is good enough for me to give him the benefit of the doubt. He almost always wins.
