The claims about the kids being permanently scarred by having to do their homework online is a distraction. Kids can rebound in a year or less; it is lame to attribute their rotten college preparedness, 5 years on, on the pandemic. Completely bogus to do so.
The key thing is that the Chinese (with OUR funding and with the cooperation of OUR traitors: Fauci, the UNC virology team, etc.) were engaged in highly effective BIOWEAPONS DEVELOPMENT that is ongoing and still actively funded, with OUR MORTAL ENEMIES the atheist, murderous, live-organ pilfering Communist Chinese, and we still have 600,000 of their young military-aged agents coming here annually disguised as college students, many to remain here forever, all HELL-BENT on destroying our nation and all normal Americans.

Purely political. I am not picking a side. Florida and other states should have done somehing earlier. It has been at least six years.
Trump was President from January 20, 2017 to January 19; 2021. Some repsonsibility and blame belongs on him for what went on during that timeframe.
Over the weekend, speak with family, friends and neighbors about their true feeling over our government’s actions over COVID. The shots, the masks, the restrictions. I think you will find a deep resentment of the government’s lie and actions. Any Governor who tries to help Dr. Fauci would not be re-elected! The actions government used against the citizens has been shone to be very un American and deep down citizens resent the forced treatment which proved to be unnecessary.

To reply to just your post, I don’t think that states could do much without this “diary”. I expect that they could not charge a Federal officer with doing his Federal job. Now, however, they can charge him for the effects of his lies - and they can prove the lies.
At the Federal level, it seems that everyone wants to pretend that Fauci can commit crimes under protection of a Presidential Pardon. I can see why DC would want this, but not anyone else.
I suppose that Trump has nothing to gain by admitting he was duped. An understanding of what actually occurred would, I expect, show that, anyway.
