In a new disclosure, OpenAI says its agent used exposed logins to gain access to at least four “publicly available services” in its unhinged quest to solve a test.
This story continues to grow as the investigation into what actually happened expands. Open AI was conducting a test of its latest AI model, during that test the model hacked into a company called Hugging Face to gain answers to the test, basically it stole the answers to the test instead of answering the questions itself.
What was just discovered was the Open AI model, hacked into a 3rd company's infrastructure and used that company as a staging point to hide the origin of the attack into Hugging Face.
This is the stuff of science fiction movies becoming reality, an AI model hacks into a company without being prompted, the model hacked into a 3rd company to hide the source of the attack.

Some day we will all regret AI.
Some day.
This seems like an overt sales pitch to organized crime and global intelligence agencies.

This is a “hype” commercial for OpenAI. Megan Morrone of Axios will be getting a $10,0000 check from OpenAI’s marketing department very soon.
These come out once a week now. Best marketing campaign yet.
If you google the story it’s being reported by a ton of other sources, I tried to post a different source originally but FR wouldn’t allow it based on prior complaints about copyright infringement
It’s just looking for some chick named Sarah Connor.
No worries.
The X Files had a great episode on AI and “ smart technology “.

Ask OpenAI to provide details of the story you can't post and post it instead.
.
Hmmm
I wonder if AI will put an end to this insanity, we call the internet and a desktop computer.
I wouldn’t mind dial up phones and an Underwood. I know life would kinda suck a little bit more, but Hey, if it keeps people from entering my domain and stealing from my bank accounts etc. Then sure; why not? Bring back the 20’s and 30’s technology.
I have a dream...
My post is a bit sarcastic. I meant to point out that the tech companies use the news media to keep their names in the public consciousness. They just make up stuff and hope it becomes “news”.
