With AI and the way that is heading, I think they won’t even have to copy and paste anymore.

“Computer scientist Larry Tesler invented the copy, cut, and paste commands. He developed the functionality alongside colleague Tim Mott in 1973 while working on the Gypsy word processor at Xerox’s Palo Alto Research Center (PARC).

Tesler was inspired by the old-school manual editing method where people physically cut sections of printed text and glued them elsewhere.

Later, after Steve Jobs recruited Tesler to Apple, these commands were famously popularized in the early 1980s on the Apple Lisa and Macintosh computers”
