“One study showed people rated as better-looking were more likely to identify as conservative and Republican and to feel their actions could influence politics. Another study found that participants consistently rated conservative politicians as more attractive than leftist politicians and that this translated into more votes, especially in “low-information” elections where voters don’t really know much about the candidate beyond how they look.”
How did they determine “better looking”? Isn’t beauty a subjective trait? One person’s 10 is another’s 7. From what I’ve seen conservative men are more likely than left-wing men to be overweight, which is not pleasing to look at. This is, of course, excluding the left-wing men who take estrogen because they think they’re women.
I was thinking that the picture of Kerry is actually more pleasant looking than some I’ve seen of Cornish-Dale.
