Nearly 22 years after Scott Peterson was found guilty of murdering his pregnant wife, his legal team says "new evidence" could help overturn his conviction.
The 53-year-old's attorneys with the Los Angeles Innocence Project (LAIP) say they've uncovered what they argue is new evidence that could undermine one of America's most infamous murder convictions. They detail their findings in A&E's new two-part docuseries, "Scott Peterson: The New Evidence."
"When you initially have a missing person's case, there are certain protocols, certain things that must be done, and that is to follow up on every possible lead to determine when and where the missing person was last seen," Ninette Toosbuy, a retired LAPD detective who appears in the documentary, told Fox News Digital

However, the state didn't prove it. The trial was a carnival. The jurors voted on their gut.

I dont believe for a second those witnesses saw an 8 1/2 pregnant woman walking a big dog for blocks while it was tugging at her, NO WAY. My Mom knew a woman who at 9 months pregnant, walked her dog, the dog pulled at her, hard, she lost the baby :( no way would Laci have done that. Scott murdered her, she was long dead before these witnesses saw anyone

Those witnesses all said they saw her after 10:30.
A neighbor had already found the dog alone at 10:18.
Exactly, they were mistaken, that is why police investigated this and saw this was not reliable. Maybe they saw someone else, who knows, it wasn’t Laci

at the time of this murder/death, I lived on the shore of sf bay and could walk to the place where Laci was pulled out of the water. Many of us took that walk and not everyone agreed it was murder by husband, at least not at first.
during the trial, we thought of some questions that should have been asked but were not. so long ago, I forget the details, but I’m not surprised at this effort by scott’s lawyers.

This stupid case was on Fox with Greta every night for a year. He had a high priced lawyer. The jury convicted him.

If these lawyers can get him off the hook then they will be able to charge their customers more. That’s all these types of shysters are looking for.
I totally agree that you need a keyboard with all of its keys working. It’s criminal that any keyboard for which you have provided shelter and daily sustenance is taking advantage of your generosity. I think you have a criminal case for theft of power and a civil case for fraud. If your keyboard is black, you can call Ben Crump and Al Sharpton! However, if you don’t start a GoFundMe page, they probably won’t come.
And I still think both Scott Petersons murdered their wives (and, in Laci’s case, his own child). Having an extramarital affair (not the first time, either) and telling everyone he went golfing when he actually went out on his boat is enough evidence for me.

And you know that how? Multiple courts have concluded the evidence presented was sufficient to find guilt. But now we have a “docu-series,” which is to say a sensationalized piece of propaganda to sell air time, so now we should disregard the courts? If they have evidence, present it to the court, not the court of public opinion.
I’m not saying he guilty or not guilty, But he was not convicted with no reasonable doubt and there was reasonable doubt. The media hype directly caused things to over looked.

I haven’t really followed this, but didn’t he have a girlfriend who testified against him, to the effect that he admitted killing Lacy?
What was the water temp, and salinity content, and how many microplastics were in it?

Motive??? Who else other than Scott Peterson had any reason to kill Lacey Peterson and her baby that would go through that extensive process to get rid of her body? Scott’s girlfriend didn’t even know he was married.
