On Friday’s CNN This Morning, Group Chat member Luke Thomas, an MMA analyst with an imposing presence who doubles as a left-wing pundit, initially sounded ready for battle.
After more than a hundred House Democrats voted to block billions in military aid to Israel, Sen. John Fetterman drew his red line, saying that he would leave the Democratic Party if it went officially anti-Israel.
Thomas’s tough-guy response?
“Good riddance. I’ll help him pack his bags.”
Macho stuff, Luke!
But Thomas's bravado didn’t last. Fellow panelist Elliot Williams, a scholarly, buttoned-down former Obama Justice Department official, and no conservative partisan, calmly asked Thomas a straightforward question:
"Would you still be content with Fetterman leaving the Democratic Party if it meant Republicans kept the Senate majority?"
Thomas, who had just been so full of fight, promptly backed down:
“I mean, these are complex questions about how power is shared, and I, I have to, I’d have to think more about it.”
Sounding kinda wimpy there, bro!

I think the whole ‘meekly’ thing is a little exaggerated, but what i find more interesting is the utter denial of the ramifications.

I’m skeptical about Fetterman leaving the RATs. He’d probably go Independent, but caucus with the RATs anyhow. I want to see an actual come-to-Jesus moment. (Do Jews have come-to-Jesus moments? Hmmmm....)

This is reminiscent of the mayor or Seatle saying about billionaires leaving, “Well, g’bye.” (Cue laugh track.) Absolute brain-dead idiot.
The problem with the Democrats, is that they are so bat shit crazy, that Fetterman looks like a conservative. That is, until you see Fetterman‘s record. But even that is a mixed bag. I saw online somewhere, but of course I can’t find it, that his conservative rating score was 6%, but I also saw that he votes with Trump 28% of the time. I would be more than happy with Fetterman becoming a republican and getting his vote 50% of the time and for all nominees.
Half of my family is from Pennsylvania, and while they have drifted rightward over the years, like the rest of Pennsylvania, there are still a lot of old-school Democrats just like Fetterman. We have Republican senators that are far worse for the cause than Fetterman could ever be.
How power is shared???
Democrats don’t want to share power.
They want it all. They would put you against the wall if they could.
Luke looks like a gay boy whose elevator doesn’t go all the way to the top. What slimy rock did he crawl out from under?
Guy has been taught over the years that “the majority” does not matter if you install discriminatory procedures that guarantee your power.
It is coming down to pitchforks and torches, but America is no longer willing to fight for humanity.
What does it say when the most logical democrat had a stroke and got help for mental illness? Depression is not a trifling matter and God bless him for getting help. How many politicians ignore their mental health and drive the country further in to their own insanity?
I wish we had that “You’re just a shill for Big Trig” line back when I was in high school.
