There was NFL football played in December in cold weather stadiums before Astro Turf was even invented. You don't need the grass to grow, just to hold the ground together. The main problem is domed stadiums.

YOU ARE NOT PAYING ATTN. The Ny SLimes is late to the game and only picked up on this story this week. THis has been been a issue for a long time with the players union and tey are tired of knee an other injuries.

It’s the 21st century. Making grass gown in any weather ain’t hard. Meanwhile all form as turf are, and that causes injuries. The players are right, the league should ban the fake stuff. With all the rules they’ve got trying to avoid injury, why not this one?
