I've walked along those same tracks in Westchester county, and many other tracks around the country.

Both below the Washington Irving house and from the middle of Irvington.As per normal in any such place you have to maintain situational awareness to know when to step aside.

It has become "dangerous" due to people having their eyes and ears in their phone.

The woods there are such a tangle of brambles and vines, there is no other way to walk along the Hudson.

I would have been scared to call my parents cause I would have gotten in trouble for breaking the law by them. I would have put off facing my parents for as long as possible.
