For several years, Trump admin was affected by this unfounded allegations that Trump has been somehow helped by Russia in 2016 elections.
These allegations were pretty much limited to some “dark money” contributions of Putin to Trump.
Even the worst allegations did not come even close to this Chinagate.
CBS was get Trump 24/7. Rush was on a CBS affiliate in my town. Rush would spend a whole hour debunking the Russian collusion hoax and then CBS News would come on at the top and bottom of the hour bashing Trump, we got him now! Team Mueller knew it was BS so they tried to get Trump on obstruction of justice so he would be impeached and convicted by the Senate.

More than a few GOP congressmen believed the Russia, Russia, Russia nonsense and vacated their otherwise safe seats. Rats won 40 House seats and perpetually abused PDJT for the next two years.
