Sen. Darline Graham Nordone (R-SC) is considering running for a full-term in the United States Senate, as she was sworn in this week to finish the term of her late brother, Sen. Lindsey Graham, until January.

There was no documented sexual weirdness. If there was any evidence it would have been released during campaigns. Believe me the Dems want his seat. They want every seat.

How could we forget Jean! Her husband Governor Carnahan died in a plane crash while campaigning for the Senate. His replacement Governor Wilson told the people of Missouri - “Hey if you vote for the dead guy I will appoint his wife!” So the people of Missouri voted for the dead Carnahan (mysteriously a judge ordered the St. Louis polling locations to remain open until 10 PM!) and John Ashcroft did not challenge the appointment in court. The end result was that in the special election Jean Carnahan lost to Jim Talent.
“I think the truth of the matter is that Darline has so far been off to a remarkable start,” Scott told reporters, asking about her as a possible special primary contender. “‘Why not her?’ would be my question.”

But not before an ungrateful Jean Carnahan voted no on Ashcroft's nomination for Attorney General after he graciously declined to contest her election win.
She was too much of a Democrat to return the favor in kind.

The best way to judge a candidate is based on their record, i.e., their experience. Furthermore, candidates who have experience winning are more likely to win. You get first timers with no political experience like Herschel walker, then all the bad history comes out, they can’t raise money, and you lose a safe seat. So give me someone who has experience.

So how did the 17th amendment come about? It had to do with the elders making the decision for us. The house was our territory. It was a working solution where the elites and the common folk could split responsibility. Did the ‘elites’ come up short in a way that led to this and the Income tax? You tell me.
They are sure she’ll make a good Democrat.

Blame Ashcroft. No fight in him.
In keeping with the World Cup theme, suppose that Mel Carnahan went down and John Ashcroft kicked the ball out of bounds to stop play so the other team's doctor could attend to the fallen Carnahan. Once play resumes, the ball goes Carnahan since Ashcroft kicked it out of bounds. In this situation, the custom has always been for Carnahan to kick the ball back to Ashcroft because he kicked the ball out of bounds for sportsmanship to help Carnahan.
But instead, Carnahan decides to keep the ball and pass it down field instead.
That's playing for keeps.
