Roy Cooper is in trouble. He was popular and unbeatable, but then a Democratic firm, had him only four points ahead of Republican Michael Whatley. His favorability ratings are nearly underwater. People are learning about his relentless support of illegal aliens who have killed American citizens. Democratic survey takers say there’s a path to victory for Republicans in this race, which was largely seen as a Democratic pickup.

Republicans, this race is winnable. Send cash to Whatley now.

This article brings up the disgusting illegal who was allowed to keep offending until he killed a child. My issue is the beautiful Ukrainian girl who was killed on the streetcar. If I was running the campaign I'd go full Willie Horton on him. You see the Willie Horton ad was true and more importantly, it worked.

I sent in $100. Ted Budd won as a conservative. So can Whatley. When you look at Biden’s FEMA response to the hurricane there there’s still anger to tap into. Then there’s the democrat socialists Cooper will align with. He needs to be exposed more.

I don’t want Cooper as my senator. He’ll be as bad as Tillis is for NC and the US, if not worse.

I agree with your cousin. Whatley who?
It’s going to take a media blitz to get him recognition.
At this point, it doesn’t look good for him.

Same here. Longtime NC resident but have to ask Whatley who? I’ll vote ABC (Anyone but Cooper) but whoever it is needs to get their name out there massively.

You see the Willie Horton ad was true and more importantly, it worked.

It should also be noted that the Al Gore campaign was the first to use the ad!

NC resident here. Roy Cooper was an awful Governor, he’d be an even more awful Senator. I’d vote for an itchy rash on my nether regions before I’d vote for Roy Cooper.

The Whatley campaign does need money though. Out of state Leftists have thrown a lot of money at Cooper.

Right. But he looks good because of the Republican legislature in NC so he can claim to be a "Moderate".

Lee Atwater would have hung Iaryna Zarutska right on Cooper’s a** and known how to exploit it as he did Willie Horton:

What he said about Dukakis - to great effect:

“I’m going to strip the bark off the little bastard and make Willie Horton his running mate!”

Haven’t seen the likes of a Lee Atwater since he died. Unfortunately...

Today's problem is there are thousands of Willie Hortons and the Dems keep creating more to no effect.

Cooper served 2 terms so it makes him successful, especially in a red state. Our people gotta bring out his true colors. A 6 year term will take him up to age 75. He could do a lot of damage lining up with the socialists.

I live in NC, and it is a red state. Unfortunately, we somehow have allowed bad Republican candidates to run for the high-visibility posts in recent years.

Whatley appears solid. There’s still 4 1/2 months to go here. If we hammer on the right issues, I believe he will win.

People in NC don’t seem well informed. The state is in dire straits since Jesse Helms left the Senate in 2003. People there recognize Cooper’s name, and that may be enough to put him over.

Cooper will line up with socialism, but people in NC are too confused to understand the threat. Same with the hapless Virginians

Toward the end of his life, Atwater apologized for his hard-ball campaign tactics. I recall that GHWB went sailing and did not attend Atwater’s funeral.
