If I see something in the sky that acts in ways that no known aircraft can act, I'm going to ask questions; not just accept was 'appears' to be.
That seems how an intelligent mind should approach something like that. But YMMV.

Of course I ask questions. A key aspect of identifying things is the process of deductive reasoning. What is a metallic looking disc at approximately 1,000’ altitude traveling East to West silently in clear blue skies at the speed of a fighter jet performing a low speed pass on afterburner and suddenly coming to a complete halt mid flight and then just disappearing?
I don’t know. But I know for certain what it was not.
