Nolan Wells demanded “Give me my freaking phone” in an argument filmed shortly before he went missing, his family’s lawyer Ben Crump claims.
The 18-year-old college football player vanished during a Fourth of July boat trip with friends to Horn Island, Mississippi.
His body was recovered Monday and positively identified as his remains the following day using dental records.

Ben Crump is like Al Sharpton and the late Jesse Jackson—he has a keep sense of smelling out money to be made from a shakedown operation.
Crump shows up, figured the dead guy was of the Negro persuasion.

🚨 NEW DETAIL EMERGES IN THE NOLAN XAVIER WELLS CASE
A confirmed altercation reportedly took place on Horn Island around 4:01 PM on July 4, 2026, during the timeframe of Nolan Xavier Wells’ disappearance.
Authorities have not identified who was involved, and the investigation remains ongoing.
How this detail may have fit in.
Group finds out that the boat is leaking and they need to get it back to mainland before it sinks. They tell this guy about it, but he is talking to a girl and will not get on board. They grab his phone and bring it on the boat to get him to follow, but he still refuses. They leave, knowing that time is running out for the boat. They barely make it back to the mainland. Later, his body is found in the water.
Yeah, Crump was probably the wrong lawyer to hire. The family should have hired a PI to get out to the island immediately. But the boys in possession of a stolen phone belonging to a dead football star are kidding themselves if they think they are not all in very deep doo doo.
Sounds to me like a bunch of young friends went out partying on the 4th, as countless kids do.
When one kid grabs another friend’s phone, it is usually for one of two reasons:
Just to tease him or her because they are so ridiculously attached to it.
Or because one has gotten irritated by being recorded and doesn’t want to be the star of the phone owner’s social media posts. This is most likely to happen when the person with the phone catches someone nude, or someone’s girlfriend in the nude, or records something embarrassing, or just taunts another that he has caught them in an embarrassing position, and maybe threatens to post it to get laughs. A person who has been humiliated or thinks he might be, may grab the phone and demand the recording be deleted or may delete it himself.
But get Crump involved and he will turn it into some racist thing even though it is very unlikely that some racists would have a black friend whom they would go partying with. Crump only ends up on these cases when there is some Democrat scheme afoot, so is there a critical midterm election in Mississippi this year?

Undoubtedly.
Why run to a lawyer in the first place?
Why not see what the investigation turns up?
Let the police locate the phone
If it isn’t in the owner’s possession, in whose possession is it?
What explanation is given for that phone being in possession?
Was it given back and then found again later upon a return to pick him up?
Was the boat really leaking? If so, what was the cause of the leak? If not, who made up that story?
Was he inebriated? Were all of them inebriated? What exactly was the dispute over the phone about?
Lots of questions here to be answered before bringing in someone like Crump to muddy the waters.
Is muddying the waters the real point of hiring him or are they seriously unable to think of a better lawyer because they have already jumped to a conclusion without evidence?
Nolan wells is on the left.
Probably the argument he was having was on the phone with the girl, and she'll be paid off to keep quiet about it during Crump's shakedown.

That is also possible. Swimming is much less common among blacks than whites. If he was not a reasonably strong swimmer, he could have misjudged his abilities in the ocean water and drowned.
Here’s my worthless speculation:
1) The three white buddies with the leaking boat announced they needed to leave and Nolan needed to go with them, now. (Investigators should verify whether the boat is indeed that leaky. Was there really another reason they needed to leave in a hurry?)
2) Because Nolan was intent on pursuing a particular girl, he waived them off and stayed behind.
3) The guy or guys the girl came to the island with were not best pleased with Nolan pursuing the girl. (That doesn’t require racism but it could have been a factor). Perhaps they took his phone and deleted pics, videos, and contact info related to the girl.
4) The group with the girl left the island.
5) Nolan found himself unpopular and couldn’t get a ride back to the coast. He was just left behind.
6) Nolan, perhaps impaired by drink, decided he could swim to shore, but didn’t make it. There were no witnesses to report seeing him go under.
7) People who murdered Nolan wouldn’t have returned a phone they could easily have smashed/thrown into the ocean.
8) If there are any ugly secrets, the chances of 100+ young folks with smartphones keeping it, are nil.
Sheriff’s Department comments imply it is dismissing the whole thing as an accidental drowning. More likely, it is taking the time before jumping to conclusions, to identify/gather statements from 100+ scattered witnesses; get the autopsy and toxicology results; gather and examine lots of cell phone pics, video, calls, messages, social media communications; build a timeline including when each person arrived at the island, when they left, and when they arrived on shore, when the “argument” took place, etc.; pin down the complete chain of custody of Nolan’s phone and keys and why each link had them; whether there really were missing person reports and when/by whom; look for inconsistencies and re-interview those caught in them; etc. This takes a while.
Crump, Sharpton, and internet ghouls, and the grieving parents, exploit the fact that all the above takes a while, to incite the worst posible interpretation of murky information. That helps troll for GoFundMe donations “for the funeral”, and no doubt for Crump and Reverend Al. They’ve raised over $260,000 as of last night. The longer the investigation takes, the more they’ll rake in. The parents seem like nice people but are so dominated by racial mistrust that they can’t imagine anything but deliberate racist murder and coverup. It’s reasonable to keep an eye open for that, but not to the exclusion of any other explanation.
Well, remember the stereotype of Blacks and swimming.
