A New York City building owner is trying to get out of paying an eye-watering $35 million verdict to an ex-JPMorgan banker who claimed a shattering glass door left her with permanent brain damage, according to new court documents.
Lawyers for the Madison Avenue building claim hours of new video surveillance of former banking analyst Meghan Brown taken over a nine-month period reveal her claims of incapacitation are a “fraud.”
“Seldom is a farce of the magnitude orchestrated by [Brown] here captured on video and in court documents,” wrote Christopher Theobalt, attorney for 271 Madison Co — who argue the $35.2 million verdict should now be thrown out.
Lawyers for a Madison Avenue building claim post-trial surveillance reveals that former JPMorgan analyst Meghan Brown is far from incapacitated, including the above still depicting her using a phone while on a three-wheeled bike without a helmet.
But Brown’s lawyer Tom Moore called the move “utter desperation.”

Mamdani will be happy to take possession of the building in the name of “the people” - deeming it run by “a negligent landlord.”
“Zohran Mamdani has a plan to seize private property and take over the apartment-housing business in New York City.. to transfer ownership of apartment buildings from negligent landlords to nonprofits.”
Expect the building to either become housing for “migrants” or Section 8.
He has raised rent 30% on govt controlled apartments (stating more revenue was needed for upkeep and that the current rent does not cover costs). Yet, he froze rent on private owned apartments (even tho Landlords have argued the same complaints ).
Landlords are going to end up losing their apts to the banks. Then Mamdani will seize the units, AND raise the rent 30%. How do you like those NYC apples?
One thing you can say about Mamdani: He was very clear as to what he is and what his intentions were during his mayoral campaign. He was not a wolf in sheep’s clothing. Voters well knew what they were voting for - and voted for him anyway.
Can’t wait until he runs out of “other people’s money” and comes with his begging bowl to the feds...
“Lawyers for a Madison Avenue building claim post-trial surveillance...”
They should have done better pre-trial surveillance.
Now, take out that checkbook.
The private investigator we hired videoed him working in a firearm store, lifting crates of ammo onto the counter. They're pretty darn heavy for someone with a back injury.
Labor relations called him in and put him back to work.
The “shattered window” happened when she was walking through a door AFTER a “physical therapy” session. WHAT was she taking “physical therapy” for - before the shattered window incident?
“”Brown had been leaving a physical therapy appointment at 271 Madison Ave. when the lobby door shattered back in 2015.”
Caption under the picture of the ?door/window?......
Who in their right mind wouls invest building new private hrental housing in these high tax, regulation happy, profit averse socialist enclaves such as Mamdani’s New York City. Without new investment, a place rots.
Taping victim. I thought these NY Post guys lectured Trump to stop using that term
I pictured some guy duct taped to a wall. He was feeding hi with a stick.
I need coffee
Busted!!
I could see some compensation but nowhere near even a million
I remember one of my kinda neighbors had recently purchased a 5 million dollar house apparently she had gotten some kind of settlement. But she was nutso, and yes the ins company watched her for a year I know cause their investigators stuck out really badly in our neighborhood.
She painted the trunks of her trees blue, and one day called the cops cause a dead body washed up on her beach (it was a seagull)
why did you post the meme? It doesn’t apply to anything doofus
Like hell
Remember, the same idiot jurors that gave her $35 million dollars could be your jurors, deciding your fate in a criminal trial.
