Your thinking of it as investment jewelry.
It is a raw material of just about every high tech innovation coming down the pike, including the batteries this thread is about.
You’re, not your.
I don’t consider it jewelry.
I have read lots of articles claiming that we are consuming more than we are producing, and that the USGS says

I have been following the Silver market since I landed in Copenhagen for a layover back in jan 1980 and saw the headlines $50 SILVER in huge font on all the Newspapers.
I saw what happened, I know lots of people who bought lots of silver and then it crashed. I saw it again in 2009 and at the beginning of this year even.
do I believe a small group of somebodies is going to make a lot of USD/Euro/ruble/remebi or whatever currency is best for them over the next 20 years, yes I do.
I talked to a guy once back in 2010 who invented a process to separate silver without using Cyanide, (ARGOX) and he setup a big refinery in Bolivia and produced .99999 pure silver for a while. He told me no one cared at all, and it was almost impossible to sell his fine silver cause no one cared.
Today no one cares about his process or being environmentally sound refiner even though it is only marginally more expensive and does the copper, lead, zinc at the same time.
