A short outtake from the host of her longer podcast, with Prof Hanson.
Worth 16 minutes of your time.
I did not know that he consulted on the movie “300”.
Makes sense tho.

I remember my grandmother saying to me: "I don’t care what they tell you in school, Helen of Troy was Black."
It is simple to me, if they really believed race swapping should not matter why is Moana live action a Polynesian girl, and not a 6+ foot tall white, blue eyes Nordic woman? Basically, why is it only white characters that get race swapped.
These people think we are stupid, they believe it with the blissful ignorance of their own foolishness.
So much for historical accuracy

The Iliad and Odyssey are renowned as the foundational texts of Western literature. They established the blueprint for storytelling and introduced enduring archetypes. Together, these epic poems capture profound human truths—ranging from the destructive costs of war and pride to themes of resilience, loyalty, and the meaning of mortality.
The Iliad: Explores the wrath of Achilles and the tragedy of the Trojan War. It is celebrated for its gripping battle narratives and its deep examination of what it means to choose eternal glory over a long life.
The Odyssey: Focuses on King Odysseus and his perilous, ten-year journey home. It is renowned for championing cunning and intellect over pure brawn, exploring concepts like xenia (hospitality), and testing the limits of human perseverance.
Historically, they also served as the cultural “Bible” for the ancient Greeks, unifying diverse city-states and helping to standardize early writing systems.
Ellen Page is not a girl? Since she surgically removed her breasts and takes artificial hormones, she is not a girl? Since she changed her name to Elliot she is not a girl?
She’s as fake as her movie.
“He was “assigned” female at birth and went by his given name, Ellen, prior to transitioning in 2020.”
What he was pointing out is that Ellen/Elliot is not playing Achilles, but a lesser greek, still laughable but she is not playing Achilles from what I have heard.
And it matters why?
