One author thinks she has found the answer.
he Jews and the Left, Batya Ungar-Sargon’s latest book, takes readers through the long history of Jews in American political life, from George Washington’s praise for the Jews to FDR and the Civil Rights movement, concluding with the shock many Americans felt on October 7, when Hamas committed the 21st-century Holocaust that was not universally condemned.
Batya noted, “I wrote the book because the question that I get asked, maybe the most, especially by Christians, conservatives, Republicans, is ‘why do the Jews vote for the Democrats, when the Democrats hate them, and we love them?’”
Although the book ends with the aftermath of October 7, the results of the recent New York and Maine primary elections underscore the book’s relevancy today and are a dramatic postscript. A direct threat to America’s values and ideals is the recently elected Democrat candidates that include Nazis, communists, and antisemites.
Maine Democrat Senate candidate Graham Platner has a chest tattoo of the Totenkopf, the skull-and-crossbones icon adopted by the infamous Nazi SS unit. He retweeted a post that characterized Judaism as a “death cult” and praised the military tactics that Hamas used in 2014 in the horrific execution of five Israeli soldiers.
Batya addresses the Nazi tattoo directly.
The left told people who were not Nazis, “You are Nazis, you are white supremacists. You are evil.” And now they’re lining up behind a guy with an actual Totenkopf tattoo and who knew what it was. And that’s not a deal breaker for them?
In my book, I have this quote that applies: ‘Many in the Democratic Party insist that it is the radical left that has turned on the Jews, not the mainstream of the party. But, few of the Democratic politicians are willing

Foreign Aid of all types to muslim countries is higher than aid to Israel.
Liz is mysteriously silent about that bigger number.
It’s almost as if Jew hate is more important than America to her.
Would they vote for it?
Maine has RCV for a reason...
Anti semitism is out of control and I don’t mean demonizing Israel
It’s more than that
Underneath it’s jealousy or envy
Isn’t it always with everyone
It’s the real emotion of the left
I love Jews not for religious reasons although them choosing western culture helps
Despite that they are often antagonistic
And way way disproportionately institutionally influential pretty much proving the stereotype
I think it’s providential but no question to me they have been abused for it
Its reaction and provocation all sides with them guilty too but the hammer hits them as a group identity or religion wise it’s pretty over the top
So what would we as Christians do in response if we were rounded up?
I know Jews as well as anyone here including intimately with several comely gals and their families
It’s my view I’m sticking to it
Because most of them are leftists
“If you look at the history of every leftist movement you will find many Jewish folks in leadership positions as well as in the trenches.”
If you look at the history of every rightist movement you will find many Jewish folks in leadership positions as well as in the trenches.
Like flies to dog crap a thread like this attracts anti semitic losers.
The latest gag-a-rama is that US tax dollar billions to Israel is a “mere pittance”
.....that taxpayers are gouged “trillions” for NATO.
Reality check
Tiny Mideast Israel got $300 billion tax dollars to date
<><>”that we know of”...... probably much much more
<><>that they never have to pay back,
<><>that they continually lie about.....
<><>saying $billions to them goes to “make jobs” here.....
The United States’ financial commitment to NATO involves both direct payments to the alliance’s operational budget and indirect contributions through total national defense spending:
Direct Funding (Common Budget):
The U.S. contributes about 14.9% of NATO’s direct common-funded budget, which pays for the running costs of NATO’s civil and military headquarters and infrastructure.
This share equates to roughly $924 million of the total $6.2 billion NATO common fund for 2026.
The US reported its national defense budget accounts for about 60% of all NATO members’ combined military spending—and is used by us for all US military operations globally........not solely allocated to NATO.
I went to Israel and never experience an iota of anti Christian sentiment. Note that every Christian historical site has a functional church on top of it.
And Jews owned land and had slaves and grew cotton etc
In Mississippi where I am long descended from all the major plantation area towns had synagogues
Many still standing and often maintained still by Beth Israel in Jackson
There are books on this
South Carolina protected Jews specifically in their constitution
Jews as agrarian folk is kind of unique in the modern era
Although I do know an orthodox Jewish family in Pennsylvania that are dairy farmers
Don’t know, but if they knocked it off and became hard core conservatives then the US would be in lots better shape.
Not even remotely at the same level
Doesn’t mean they control anything
But in America no question to me anyhow they are the most influential institutional outfit on the left in proportion to their numbers
It’s not by accident
They fear the host and not without some justification plus the tikkun olam creed
Best said at Abbie’s eulogy
Comfort the afflicted and afflict the comfortable lol
A wonderful physical relationship I had with a media known very pretty and liberal Jewish lady long ago in South Florida ended over this impasse
Her chill towards Christian conservatives
It wasn’t visceral but it governed her no question
When I asked why she simply couldn’t articulate it but she sure felt it
And her family had been in America since mid 1800s she was not tied to the holocaust
How much is not having 100 million (or more) dead people worth?
Your AI math is terribly wrong, and excludes costs of USA troops, bases, and weapons.
You know, you forgot 99% of the costs.
So, in short, you’re lying. And lying badly. Again.
The costs of carrying NATO to the USA is in trillions.
I know you’re just a server farm troll, but do better.
Amen, brother.
We’re working on it!
Leftist Jews intermarry and become childless atheists.
Right wing Jews are having lots of babies, especially in Israel (documented) and here (suspected.)
This’ll drive ‘em crazy.
ChatGPT:
Most pro-America (outside the U.S.): A strong case can be made for Israel or Poland, depending on whether you prioritize public opinion or strategic alignment.
Most pro-Israel: The United States is generally considered Israel’s strongest ally overall.
There's a great appreciation for education and intellectualism in Jewish society - and in my view ‘progressivism’ gets inappropriately associated with intellectualism - accounting for at least part of the gravitation to Democrats.
IMHO a significant percentage of the Jewish population also gravitate to Marx as a Jew with a ‘great new progressive idea’ - irrespective of the fact that Marx denounced or at least ran away from his Jewish heritage and was a selfish dirtbag with a bad idea.
My extended family members and friends who are Jewish are intelligent and compassionate people. They do not understand my political views and are appalled by them.. Why do they support a system that would gleefully destroy them?
You see I was right.
The difference is that leftist movements make radical changes that undermine the society.
All the right does (most of the time) is try to hold the line.
