Eva Marie Saint won an Oscar for best supporting actress in her film debut "On the Waterfront (1954)". Her most famous role was perhaps as Eve Kendall, the sultry blonde double agent in the 1959 thriller, "North by Northwest". She was married to Jeffrey Hayden from 1951 in until his death in 2016. She retired in 2021.

She was “scandalous” in North By Northwest,..for the time.
She played the mom in "Nothing in Common".
She retired at age 97? Wow. Clint retired at 96.
The fantabulous Eve Kendal in that film. They pushed the envelope for suggestion in that film, for the time. She was fantastic!

I just started watching “North by Northwest” on Amazon Prime. Such a great movie. I haven’t seen it in maybe 20 years.
I watch it about once a year, really a good ol flick.

My father was also born on July 4, 1924, but unfortunately didn’t live to 102.
When I was a resident physician, I overheard some of the other residents talking about a patient whose daughter was extraordinarily beautiful. Then they discovered that she was the beautiful Eva Marie Saint.
