Vance: Democrats Run By Academic Elites That Want Communism Not To Make Life Better, But Purely Out Of Resentment

In an interview with FOX News host Laura Ingraham, Vice President J.D. Vance said communism is the result of the Democratic Party being run by universities and professors.

LAURA INGRAHAM, FOX NEWS: You've been following what's going on with the Democrat party and the rise of socialism. The president calls it communism and says this is this is really the biggest threat to the country now, an internal threat, and you've seen what happens when the base of the party, a party, turns on its establishment beginning with the Tea Party in 2009, ultimately resulting in President Trump's election twice. So my question to you is are these DSA types really in your estimation going to dominate the entire party?

VICE PRESIDENT J.D. VANCE: I unfortunately fear that's the direction the Democrats are headed, and it is communism, Laura. This is not, you know, this is not raising taxes a little bit, however much we might disagree with that. This is abolishing the police.

This is let criminals run amok in your cities. This is flood your country with low-wage third-world immigrants, and importantly it's confiscating wealth, not because we want to make anybody's life better, but purely out of resentment, out of an attack on the people who have that wealth to begin with. It really is something we haven't seen in the United States of America in the history of our politics, and Laura, I think that it actually is a consequence of the fact that the Democrat party has become run by the universities and by the professors.

This is not working-class Union Democrats. This is not socially conservative people who just want a fair shake at life. This is fundamentally a view that the United States is an evil country that must be dismantled

If the child with cancer lives next to a farm in Iowa the family can’t receive compensation from the glyphosate company either even if dozens of their neighbors within a few miles radius are diagnosed with the same cancer.

Point is there’s nothing American about worshipping aristocracy: “self-made” vs. inherited or not. Billionaires should be held to account for corruption, especially when married to the State.

We have a “Christian” church culture that doesn’t call on the wealthiest in society to invest back into the community…Why even something like the White House ballroom is now taxpayer funded is beyond me. The bill for the Iran War won’t affect the wealthiest either. In fact, many people profited.

I know a government school teacher who is an outright communist. This teacher is so filled with envy, you can almost see it oozing out of him.

I see it also in Federal bureaucrats, particularly those based in Washington DC and Northern Virginia.

They studied political science, maybe went to law school, or even studied some technical degree. And by God, they feel that makes them elites, qualified to centrally-plan US economy and society.

of course taxpayer pays for Secret Service and Military installations underneath the ballroom - 6 floors including military hospital, emergency bunker - and above 21st century security roof with drone base. donors are paying for ballroom.

Cato the Elder, a Roman Senator during the Republic recognized that Carthage was an existential threat to Rome. He ended every speech, regardless of its content with the phrase “Carthage must be destroyed”.
It is now clear that Cato’s sentiment also pertains to our times. The Democratic Party has become Carthage. It is the home and nexus of those who wish to destroy the American nation. It is clear that any vote for any Democrat anytime, anyplace is a vote to destroy the American nation. The Democratic party must be destroyed. America needs its Cato.

Clips from Trump’s Inauguration speeches:

“But for too many of our citizens, a different reality exists: Mothers and children trapped in poverty in our inner cities; rusted-out factories scattered like tombstones across the landscape of our nation; an education system, flush with cash, but which leaves our young and beautiful students deprived of knowledge; and the crime and gangs and drugs that have stolen too many lives and robbed our country of so much unrealized potential.

This American carnage stops right here and stops right now.

We are one nation – and their pain is our pain.”

“Our country can no longer deliver basic services in times of emergency, as recently shown by the wonderful people of North Carolina — who have been treated so badly — and other states who are still suffering from a hurricane that took place many months ago or, more recently, Los Angeles, where we are watching fires still tragically burn from weeks ago without even a token of defense.”

that’s why the fraud crackdown- $Billions of savings- is so important freeing up money for what’s actually needed. states need to step up too. after all sending $ to DC for local projects is inefficient, subject to fraud, and often a giant waste.

A lot of politicians in Washington - from both parties - and in state capitols everywhere are financed by their corporate donors for career survival. Those ties end up being equally as fraudulent and corrupt.

Creepy pervert hippie elite professors ran the University system into the ground. Now they usher in communism...

Traditional Americans won't send their children to these sicko indoctrination centers so the UNIVERSITIES are adding remedial reading to the curriculum for their new 'students' who can't read, do math or speak English. Organized antisemitism and hate classes are required first year courses. What a lovely legacy to leave to the country..../s

I worked in Chile not long after Allende was overthrown and saw the bullet holes in the palace in Santiago. I’ve got a good sense of what works in societies and what doesn’t. As you say, these useful idiots have never lived it.

The ONLY good thing about commie takeovers is commies always KILL the useful idiots first...

Now if Vance can understand that much of their money comes from the federal government— that would be nice.

Actually that isn’t quite correct.
In the USSR of the 70-90’s, the University professors and privileged students were part of the elite.
They got free education (sound familiar?), free housing and political access.

Back in the very early 90’s, this message was pushed inside of University staff and quickly grew into a movement.
Many professors have a serious distain for private sector employees “making so much money”.

I met a State Dept employee in an embassy who was convinced I was a multi millionaire just because I worked for a high tech company.

This is where this movement began right out of the Communist playbook. The rich don’t deserve to be rich.

I don’t see how your reply corresponds to post #3. I even couldn’t follow your second sentence. All I see is accusation.

Communists and Democrats always accuse. They never look in the mirror. For example, communists murder more than 100 million people and complain bitterly about something, perhaps as trivial as the price of eggs. Democrats complain about American slavery, never acknowledging that the Democrat party protected slavery from Thomas Jefferson to Jefferson Davis.

Accuse, accuse, accuse. That’s the sum of it. It doesn’t even have to make sense. It’s all about feelings.

Vance is right about the resentment. The left stokes the fires of resentment and hate.

There are many malcontents who do not understand very much. Rant against Big Tech, then rush out and buy a new Iphone? Rant against big pharma, then hope (or demand) they come up with a cure? Should it come, complain that it took too long and cost too much.

Generally, our understanding of economics is probably swamped by our misunderstandings.

Ry Cooder sang “The farmer feeds us all.” ok. “The merchant is the man who gets it all.” Really?

Marx said the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. This has been going on for hundreds of years. By that logic the poor must have been pretty rich in the past. Not so. Bernstein was a protege of Marx and Engels. As an old man, he realized that workers were richer than when he was young. Nor did it stop then (1910 or so).

Many people do not understand the difference between net-worth and money. They seem to think that a millionaire has a vault with a million one-dollar bills, when in reality he has a house and a functioning business.

How many anti-capitalists can tell you what capitalism is, when it began, or what life was like before capitalism? Maybe one in a hundred thousand.

Profit is supposed to be bad. Can they even give a truthful explanation of what constitutes profit? No. To some, “interest” is bad, or banks. But they have no understanding beyond the grass being greener on the other side of the hill.

I’m certainly against corruption and crony socialism. However, not every high net-worth person made their wealth through corruption.

“call on the wealthiest in society to invest back into the community”

Steve Jobs made Apple. His net worth was Apple. His investment in Apple was an investment in the community. So, it goes for most people.

There is nothing wrong with philanthropy. However, giving your money away so that it does good is one of the hardest things to do. I suspect the Ford and Rockefeller foundations have done as much harm as good.
